Strengths: I use these radios for dog training in the fields. They seem to work just fine.

Weaknesses:Do not know of weaknesses at this point

Overall Evaluation: I have only used the radios for a short period of time in my training group. They are working well so far. Others in the group have similar radios they have been using for over a year and they enjoy their reliability.

Strengths: Crisp clear voice, long battery life.

Weaknesses:No charger provided, the back of this walky-talky is apt to be scrached by its belt clip.

Overall Evaluation: I bought a pair of this walky-talkies from office max when it was on clearance. They are go good and I like it. The manual is easy to understand and the equipments are easy to use. The voice is so good and my wife and I always use it when shopping. The battery life is good, we don't need to charge it often. But the drawback is, no charger or charging base provided for this model, even there are two metal plates on the back for the charging base. So if you want to charge it you have to get the batteries out, not easy because the NiH batteries generally are larger than alkeline ones. Also the back can be easily scratched by the belt slips, I thinks that's a problem of design.

Strengths: Easy to use, good form factor, lightweight.

    Weaknesses:Odd number of batteries.

Overall Evaluation: My first one - so no real comparison with other similar products - but it was easy to use and didn't have a problem with the reception for my usage. One of the other reviews complained about the belt clip, but seems fine to me. The shape is designed to fit well in the hand. The unit uses 3 AA batteries. Generally I don't like things with odd number of batteries since most battery chargers handle either 2 or 4 batteries at a time. However, you can argue that since there are 2 of these units, you do have an even number of batteries.

Strengths: easy to use, good signal range and light weight

    Weaknesses:none

Overall Evaluation: They are great for constant communication when working on field surveys; or trail hiking; or mountain biking; or on a road trip, you can use them from car to car; or on the shopping center. But I must buy more AA rechargeable batteries now,:)
