    Duration of ownership: 1 Days

Strengths: Low cost. Fast (relatively speaking).

Weaknesses:Early version of XP Home Edition will not install.

Overall Evaluation: Only difficulty was installing early version of Windows XP home. You need at least SP1 included with your initial installation. So far the CPU has not even broken a sweat. My son was playing Quake 4 while downloading Crysis and running Photoshop CS (screen captures). Haven't OC'd yet but considering it because my Chilltec cooler has maintained CPU temp lower than 87 f (30 celsius).Great purchase and looking forward to programs that take advantage of multiple cores.nVidia 8800 512 RAM2 GHZ 1066 RAM2 SATA 160 GB Drives Raid 1Intel 975 Extreme MB

    Strengths: Very fast

    Weaknesses:gets hot

Overall Evaluation: Runs very fast, but I've been some issues with the pc I've built. I put it on a GA-n650sli-ds4l motherboard and it's been crashing since then. I think that's a problem with either the cpu or the mobo because I've replaced all the other parts.

Strengths: Very fast (2.4ghz) with 4 cores

Weaknesses:Builds up quite a bit of heat

Overall Evaluation: I am running this with 2GB of ram and on a gigabyte p35-ds4 mobo. Running very fast and I can see a huge improvement when comparing this to my pentium 4.

    Strengths: Fast

    Weaknesses:Yorkfield

Overall Evaluation: As you probably already know, this processor overclocks very well, especially the G0 stepping (aka SLACR). I overclocked mine to 3.55 Ghz with air cooling. It's awesome! Well, maybe not as awesome as Yorkfield, but for well under $300, I can't really complain.

Strengths: Quad-core power!!! G0 stepping runs very cool. Cores remain stable even under load. Good performance for the price.

Weaknesses:G0 stepping not guaranteed from some retailers. Penryn CPUs may offer better value when released next month.

Overall Evaluation: There's not too much left to say about this processor. It's fast, stable, and a great value for the price. The only real caveat is that the new G0 stepping cannot be guaranteed from some online resellers.
