  Duration of ownership: 2 Years

  Strengths: Great TV when it turned on....

  Weaknesses:Tube blew after 2 1/2 years now it is a heading for the trash bin as it will cost less to replace then repair

  Overall Evaluation: Last RCA product I will ever buy. Some quick research shows that my experience with this tv is not uncommon. Tv worked fine for 2 1/2 years then one day nothing. Repair estimate came in over the purchase price.

  Duration of ownership:

  Strengths: IT was free, won it at a raffle

  Weaknesses:Have to use the remote to change it to the "game" channel...Power source went bad in one year. Cost us $180 to get it repaired.

  Overall Evaluation: Has a good picture.. my son loves it for playing games. It was a great deal as we won it at a raffle. Until the power source went bad and we had to pay $180 to have it fixed after just one year. Was not covered by the warranty... although I consider the main power source part of the "parts" still under warranty. We are not happy with the remote feature. YOu can only access some features with the remote. Do some research.. it would not of been a tv we would of purchased ourselves.

  Strengths: Actually paid less than $500 for it around 2002

  Weaknesses:Had some popping noises become present within 3 years

  Overall Evaluation: Good thing I bought the extended warranty through Best Buy, actually had to use it. Never really did much but watch DVD's through the component video and watch standard cable. Not a huge TV buff.

  Overall Evaluation: My RCA 32" stopped working less than 2 years after purchase. I don't even watch much TV. NO warning, just won't turn on. Reviews on other sites point to a similar problem. Looking into repair, but I fear that this 130 pound TV will end up in a landfill - AFTER ONLY TWO YEARS of service. Simply criminal.
