Strengths: Good image quality, easy to set up, all-in-one solution to watch TV in a PC monitor, good looking.
Weaknesses:So so manual, very hard to read rear labels.
Overall Evaluation: This is my second TV tuner from Kworld. The first unit was a bad unit, with serious sound issues. This one, however, has improved a lot in the sound department. The unit is perfect for converting your computer monitor in a TV set with sound, with no PC required. Video quality is very good, with more details than you are used to see in a standard CRT-TV. The reason presumably arises from the fact that you probably watch TV at a much longer distance than a computer monitor. Sound is OK, like a standard PC speaker. It can certainly be improved connecting the line out jack to a sound system. The unit really looks very good, it's black with a smooth feel, very nice for the price. It includes a plastic stand, and a remote control. It also includes cables to connect a VGA monitor to a TV analog signal (NTSC) for all imaginable scenarios. I tried to hook it up to a TV set with tuner problems, and I realized that the only TV output is VGA (with no conversion cables). However, for a few bucks it is possible to buy a VGA to RCA cable and give a new life to a TV set with tuner problems, or give audio output to an old TV. The manual is very basic and it is not well written, however is very easy to figure out how to set the device. The only problem is that the labels on the rear case are impossible to read (black on black). Most of the jacks are distinguishable because of their shapes, but for example there is no way to realize which hole is audio line-in or line-out, unless you try first or read the manual. I am really happy with the product and I recommend it if you are interested in a standard definition tuner with sound for your PC monitor.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Easy setup, most channels show reasonably clear pictures, comes with many cables
Weaknesses:Picture quality, mono speaker, layout on remote is bad, poor technical support, dubious rebate processing
Overall Evaluation: The build of this unit looks quite promising, with a rubbery finish on both sides. Setup was easy, though it should be noted that whenever power is plugged in or out there would be a large pop sound, which is quite disturbing. Most of the channels show clear pictures (although not pretty low quality and resolution). The design of the remote is quite disappointing, and its battery compartment is problematic. When I contacted their support about it, they suggested that Duracell and energizer should not be used or to use a piece of aluminum foil (!!) to aid in battery contacts. Many resources have claimed their rebate to be dubious, and one may have to fight to get rebates back.

Duration of ownership: 4 Weeks
Strengths: Portable, no need for PC, built-in speaker, inexpensive
Weaknesses:No HDTV support, not good quality
Overall Evaluation: I bought this tv tuner at a low price. It seems pretty good at first sight, since it is stylish, compact, portable, and there is no need for a PC. However, it doesn't work quite well. The tuner doesn't support HDTV, and there are always noise signals on the screen. Built-in speaker is a good idea, but the performance of the speaker is very poor. If you spend much time on watching TV, go for other brand name tv tuners.

Strengths: The product does work as described.
Weaknesses:Universal remotes will not work on this unit.
Overall Evaluation: Be happy paying full price before any rebate as KWorld is well known on the web for not paying valid rebates. The product does work as described and is a good way to turn a LCD monitor into a TV. The speaker is small and sound is not that great, you really need external speakers. Do not lose or break the remote as the universal remotes will not control this unit. You do not need direct line of sight between the unit and remote control to operate the unit. Ignore any rebate offers on this product as it just plain will never come.

Duration of ownership: 1 Months
Strengths: Inexpensive(if you get back rebates), slim, with internal speaker
Weaknesses:bad signal, unhelpful technical support
Overall Evaluation: I bought this product because of the rebates. But I have heard a lot of bad stories about the rebates, so I sent in the rebate via return receipt. Hopefully I can get the rebate back. My first impression of this tv box is that it is kind of cute. But when i plugged in my local TV cable, I felt dissappointed. It was wired that I had some clear channels and at the same time a lot of snowy channels. I got very good picture from my year-old tv, but not this tv box. I tried to contact Kworld but they had no clue what problem it is. So I am thinking about shipping it back to the manufacturer.
