    Weaknesses:

Overall Evaluation: Don't know the strenghts and weaknesses yet. I purchased an L7780 2 weeks ago and had to return it because it kept spitting out half printed pages and many pages with one line of random characters printed at the top. 12 hours on HP chat with 5 different technicians and they couldn't resolve the issue. We went through dozens of "Try this". They all said it was a software problem, but I uninstalled and reinstalled the software 4 times according to their instructions. The HP Chat supervisor sent me an email saying there was nothing more they could do and I should go out and buy the latest version of Microsoft Office. Even though the same issues show up when printing from Word Pad or even sending a test page from the printer. I returned the printer and received a replacement L7780 today. Much to my disappointment, similar issues and again HP Chat said it was a software issue and to reinstall the software. I have had HP printers for 25 years and am so upset and disappointed with the printer and HP support.

    Strengths: Good Features

    Weaknesses:Software will not install.

Overall Evaluation: So far I have attempted on five separate occasions to install the software. Four of these times have been with HP Technical Support directing my actions. I can print, however, I cannot fax, I cannot scan and my CPU usage is locked in at 100%. HP Technical Support told me they would call me this morning at 8:00 AM and attempt a remote load. It is now 3:30 PM, and no call. If I do not hear from HP by 10:00 AM tomorrow I will be returning the product.

Strengths: Fully loaded printer with all imaginable features.

    Weaknesses:Just a couple

Overall Evaluation: Overall, I can enthusiastically recommend the HP OfficeJet L7780 All-In-One printer, fax, scanner, copier. It's super fast, the print quality is excellent, and economical to operate. According HP it'll cost about 1.5 cents for a black page and around 6 cents for color pages, depending on the complexity. The direct photo printing capabilities are great for both office and home user, and if you do a lot of printing, or if you need to print two-sided copies then this is a fabulous machine. The wireless capability and digital filing are just the icing on the cake for me. On the other hand, there are some potential drawbacks. The photo menu is not always intuitive, and some of the options could be re-arranged to fix this. I've also once experienced a false alarm paper jam when doing a large print job. For instance, one time while a large document was printing, after the first 7 pages or so, the machine stopped printing and said that the printer had a jam. So I checked to see where it was and there was nothing to be found that could have caused a jam. So then I had to restart the job and everything went smooth from then on. Hopefully, I never got this false alarm ever again. This machine is great and I highly recommend it.

Strengths: It looks nice in the Box and thats where it should stay

Weaknesses:Software doesn't work on Mac or XP and support is from India by e-mail at best!

Overall Evaluation: It is apparent that the HP All-In-One should be recalled! Software out of the Box has major fatal errors on XP with no support at all from HP (India HA!) Tried to load on my new MAC software issues loading but HP new about this! Best suggestion is don't buy! My unit is one day old and I am returning it back to the store. (Techincal support by e-mail is not at all Support!)

Strengths: Easy to use scanning software

Weaknesses:Tech support sucks unless you can speak Indian. Not VISTA 64bit compatable out of the box.

Overall Evaluation: I spent 4 days trying to get this machine to work with an HP Vista-64 bit machine. All you get is one Indian after another who can't speak or understand English. I gues that is to be suspected as their phone systen does not work well either. The ink cartridges all blew up after 12 copies. The document feeder is cheency. Bottom line it went back to HP along with the computer.
