    Duration of ownership: 2 Months

Strengths: Beautiful display, RAM upgradeable to 4GB, solid build

Weaknesses:Small shift key, sometimes hard to hit eject key on optical drive

Overall Evaluation: I've had this laptop for two months now and am very happy with the purchase. This is not the touch-screen tablet version of this model, but I saw that in a local Staples store and thought the display was muted because of the LCD material used. My model has a bright, beautiful display and I don't miss the touch-screen feature too much. I did upgrade the RAM to 4GB and it made a substantial difference! The two 2GB RAM chips cost me $198 ($99 each) but considering I got the tx1110us on clearance for $675 I didn't mind. I only have two complaints: first, the shift key on the right-side of the keyboard is very small and I sometimes have to stop and visually find the shift key before using it; second, the optical drive eject key can be difficult to find/depress too. I don't have large hands, but it just isn't easy to do. Overall I like this laptop very much and my main reason for buying it was to replace the old laptop my daughter used and to replace the portable DVD player used on trips - it replaced both of those units wonderfully.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: build quality, ultra-portable, swiveling LCD

Weaknesses:sometimes it's tough to type if you have sausage fingers :-)

Overall Evaluation: If you're looking for an ultra-portable laptop - that's the way to go. It's super cool and rather affordable (compared to other 12" models). I'm not really sure why would you need a DVD-RW on such a model, but what a heck? It's really jam-packed. 120Gb of HD will be impossible to fill and Vista Premium really rocks! Overall, great laptop in it's class, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody
