Strengths: All of the Series 2 functionality and a black and silver box.
Weaknesses:Could have a larger hard drive, but then it'd be more money!
Overall Evaluation: The Humax 80-Hour TiVo is effectively the same TiVo as the regular TiVo-branded TiVos, with exception to the case. As such, there really ought to be a Series 3 TiVo. With the Series 3 I'd like to see multi-channel digital audio output and storage, Mac compatability with TiVo-To-Go (though that's really outside the unit itself), direct wired Ethenet, component video in and out, and HD-support.

Strengths: quiet, easy to set up, great software, networkable.
Weaknesses:none so far
Overall Evaluation: 80 hrs is at the lowest resolution. this unit is the best value for the money. The setup takes about 30 min and will work for a while without the service being activated. activation costs 12.95 / month for the first box or $299 for lifetime (of the t800) . It totally changes the way you watch TV. no more flipping channels to find out what to watch. Just create a wishlist and let the software find things to watch. I have a 2 yr old and having childrens programming on demand has been convenient
