    Duration of ownership: 40 Days

    Strengths: compact, inexpensive,multi region code free, remote control

    Weaknesses:the quality may not be good to last long

    Overall Evaluation: This is the second Philips DVD player we had so far. It is smaller and lighter than our first one. The slim-design makes it very easy to fit into any small space.We used it on the TV in our kitchen. It played every DVDs and MP3 discs we put in smoothly and flawlessly. We have used it for more than a month. So far we have not seen any quality defect on this player. It came from a famous brand---philips. At the current price, it is a great buy. I would like to recommend it to anyone who wants a small,simple,easy and reliable DVD play.

    Duration of ownership: 10 Days

    Strengths: Easy to operate, great value

    Weaknesses:Single disc; no fancy bells and whistles

    Overall Evaluation: Our expensive surround sound 5-disc DVD system stopped working and we needed a quick inexpensive substitute while we figured out how to get the other one operating again. We did a little research and chose this nice little Philips model. If you are looking for something super simple, compact, and inexpensive this is a great choice.

    Strengths: Plays Divx, small slim compact, lightweight.

    Weaknesses:No USB support like the higher model Philips DVD Player which cost more.

    Overall Evaluation: For the price its not bad, because it plays dvd and popular divx format. Its better than getting the outdated dvp642 which is few years old. Great all around and very nice player.

    Strengths: easy to use.good compatibility with many formats

    Weaknesses:One DVD I made sometimes the music in the title running not very smoothly.

    Overall Evaluation: This is a good one I purchase with very low price. One of the features I liked most is that it can play most of the DVD and VCDs I have, even including those I made by myself.

    Strengths: Plays dvd discs in a wide range of format; slim design; light weight; excellent vedeo quality.

    Weaknesses:None

    Overall Evaluation: I just bought this dvd player about a week ago and I like it pretty much. I chose this model other than other dvd player largely because it plays VCDs. Also the price is very reasonable.
