Strengths: Excellent quality. Crisp, clear, and sharp resolution.
Weaknesses:None so far
Overall Evaluation: I was planning to choose LCD, but noticed that plasma has better quality. This is the best investment I've have ever made. Picture, sound is outstanding. A must have! I chose a 42" for supperb entertainment. Sony is one of the best brands out there but for a person like me with an average budget, I chose LG for the indurance and the price. The price was right!!!

Strengths: Fantastic picture, both HD and non-HD. Amazing contrast and great value for the money. Sound is very good with only the TV speakers. No problems with glare.
Weaknesses:None so far.
Overall Evaluation: We did a lot of research before selecting this plasma TV, and we are not disappointed. After seeing it side-by-side with the LCD model, we chose the plasma for the contrast. We had it professionally installed on the wall, and other than problems getting HD equipment from our cable company (not the TV's fault - Time Warner), it has been a true pleasure. Its actually a beautiful piece of furniture!

Strengths: Crisp and sharp resultion

Overall Evaluation: Used in game room mostly for kids playstation. Shooting monsters on a 42" screen is awesome! Resolution is only 768p, but 42" is small enough that it doesn't seem to matter. No concerns with that. Some people complain that plasmas are reflective, but we have normal house lighting in room and it is not a problem.

Strengths: Looks good, quality is good, price is good.
Weaknesses:Non so far.
Overall Evaluation: I have been shopping around for a plasma/LCD TV for the past few weeks. I ultimately decided to go plasma due to them being a bit cheaper. I looked at all the different models and finally decided to go with the LG. I think the Sony definately has the name brand that people respect, they they are genrally twice the price. This LG was very reasonably priced at $1099. Yes, you could get one for a bit cheaper, but they would have been generic brands. I know LG is not a big name like Sony, but at least its respectable. The plus is also the fact that it has a standard 2 year warranty. The LCD LG model was $200 more and I decided that this was good enough. Comparing the other brands in the same league, I think this LG is the best for the money. The LG was a few hundred dollars less than the other mid range models and yet the quality is the same. I have had no complaints about this TV so far. If I had the money, I would go with the Sony. However, weighing cost versus benefit, I don't think its a good choice for me right now since I am on a budget. Overall, I love this TV. I would reccomend it to anyone!
