Print servers will automatically receive an IP address when connected to the network and when the printer needs assistance, the server will notify you by email. Plus, Safe Flash loading of firmware updates over the web is possible.The AXIS 5400+ supports Novell NetWare including NDS and NDPS, more than 20 Unix systems, Windows NT, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, Windows 98, LAN Server, OS/2 Warp, LAN Manager and Apple EtherTalk simultaneously. It has a 36-pin Centronics port for printer connection. You don't need a cable to connect the print server to your printer, just plug it directly on to the parallel port!
