    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Works as promised, plays lots of different kinds of media

    Weaknesses:Kind of bulky

Overall Evaluation: The Showcenter lets you stream media to your TV or stereo, either wirelessly (802.11g) or via ethernet cable. If you are using ethernet cable, there is absolutely no lag when playing songs, movies, or viewing pictures. If you are using wireless G, you may experience some skipping/slowness if your router is too far away, or isn't powerful enough to deliver a reliable signal. If you are using wireless, a Pre-N router may be a good idea - I've found the additional range they offer helps maintain smooth playback.

    Strengths: Functions well.

Weaknesses:Does not support more file formats.

Overall Evaluation: This unit is surprisingly easy to set up and get running. It is great for watching your photos on the TV as well as listening to music and viewing movies from your PC. I'm surprised how well it functions although I do have a problem with music playback (the first 5 seconds or so are static). Not a bad product for about $200.

    Weaknesses:

Overall Evaluation: This is a very good media center system from Pinnacle for viewing computer based media (movies, mp3, photos) on any TV. It comes with a wireless ethernet card but has a wired ethernet port too. It can play almost all kinds of files and picture quality is pretty good too. I am very happy with my purchase. Software is a bit bloated but works.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: PRICE, Support for Many Different Formats (Video, Audio, Pic, etc.), Wireless G

Weaknesses:Video over wireless could get choppy if video file is big, Installation takes time

Overall Evaluation: There are better media receivers out there, but I got this at a really good deal. Installation and setup wasn't difficult, but it definitely took some time (not a problem, because its an one-time thing). I got this to mainly view the tv shows i recorded on my pc on my tv. Works great (as long as the video files aren't the best quality - large files become choppy if using wireless). Overall great product, and I suppose the large video file problems I had wouldn't really be an issue if you use the wired connection.

    Duration of ownership: 6 Weeks

Strengths: Wireless, Works Great, Plays All Kinf Of Audio, Video, Photographs

Weaknesses:A Bit Long In Length, Installation Has Few Issues

Overall Evaluation: I am really satisfied with this product. it sleek, but a long in length. The player instllation is straight forward but it seems if installed on windows 2000, few services needs to be started manually. The player plays all kind of video formats, mp3's, photographs. However I have noticed that the picture kinds of breks or runs in slow motion when I plays songs (video). Not sure why. Other than this it works like a charm.
