    Strengths: The processor is fast and the large screen is great for editing as well as reviewing spreadsheets.

    Weaknesses:

    Overall Evaluation: My first test of this laptop was during a presentation. It performed extremely well. It comes with a very lean software package and in turn with the 160 G hard drive, plenty of space to add any additional software you may purchase. I would highly recommend this Laptop.

    Overall Evaluation: I bought this laptop from Best Buy for $599 + tax ($629) and so far, after using it for three days, have not found any serious issues with it. I mean the laptop is heavy (6.4 lbs) but what can I expect from a 15.4? screen laptop. The machine performs well and my first few tests showed that the battery lasts about three hours and that is pretty good for a 15.4? screen laptop. The laptop looks to have been built sturdily and has plenty of ports (USB, RJ45, RJ11, etc.) In my view for the price it is good value. If you are one of those who will need tech support or customer service for this laptop, you are out of luck. Gateway?s customer service and tech support is horrendous probably the worst I have experienced in the last 20-25 years. Although a good deal, one has to be careful before you buy this laptop for the support issues from Gateway.What I also liked about this laptop is that it does not come with a lot of pre-loaded crap that slows the machine down. I will update this review more as I use the laptop more in the next few days.
