Strengths: Its ergonomic style is excellent, and makes it easy on my wrists, neck, shoulder and back.

Weaknesses:I have been unable to use the function keys as I did with my former keyboard. The CTL=V and CTL+P work in Word, however, I cannot use SHF+F7 to bring up synonyms in Word. I see no way to program to the Function keys so that they can be used as they were previously for shortcuts.

Overall Evaluation: I find the problem with not being able to use some of the shortkeys a significant shortfall of this keyboard/mouse set.

Strengths: This is the worst product Ive ever seen. The keyboard does not type. It has taken 25 mins to type these words.

    Weaknesses:Keyboard does not type.

Overall Evaluation: You have to hit the keys over and over again, but nothing types. A chisel and stone tablet would be faster! My PC has 8 GB and Windows 7 so it is not the PCs fault.

Strengths: - no stress for the wrists.- wireless!!- comfortable for speed touchtyping.

Weaknesses:- The rubber parts of the mouse are pealing from the extensive use- designed for touchtyping, designed for me :)

Overall Evaluation: I use this keyboard for more than a year. This is your keyboard if you use touchtyping only. The first two weeks I found a lot of difficulty to use it since I found this rather strange position. Now I can not live without it, it is true. I buy an extra one for the office (already have one at home) and I am not gonna change for any other type of keyboard. The only remark that I have is the pealing rubber parts of the mouse. This keyboard worths every penny.

Strengths: Comfortable, uses small usb receiver, customizable extra keys

    Weaknesses:not rechargable

Overall Evaluation: I decided to give this keyboard a try. It takes times toused to it because of an ergonomic shape. If you type a lot it is a perfect keyboard as it makes your wrist a god rest. I wish I had one at work. I didn't notice any disconnection problems. Mouse is larger than a regular mousses but it is perfect for my long fingers. Microsoft could have made this set rechargeable as some Logitech combos, but batteries life seems to be pretty good. I am impressed with this Microsoft product.

    Strengths: Good contruction; nice feel

Weaknesses:So-So range; takes getting used to; expensive

Overall Evaluation: First off, take my review with a grain of salt, as this is my first foray into an Ergonomic keyboard!Microsoft makes good keyboard, as I had the Laser Desktop 6000 V2 before, and was very happy with it. I got a rebate on the 7000 ergonomic, so decided to give it a shot. I like the feel of the wrist rest, and especially the "touch" of the keys. While a bit noisy, they are smooth and you know when you've made contact. However, I just have not gotten used to the keyboard layout. I know it's supposed to be better for you to use a keyboard this way, but I just don't like it! Too many years using a regular keyboard, and I'm not ready to change. The mouse was also a little funky, as it is quite tall, and you have to put your whole hand around it to use it. Unfortunately, I decided to return the unit and keep my Desktop 6000 instead.I think that Microsoft used the same wireless technology in this unit as the 6000, as it has the same shaky range on the mouse. While the keyboard is extremely responsive, the mouse would occasionally get a little lost.
