Strengths: Great picture, easy to set up, good bang for the buck!

Weaknesses:Still needs to be tweaked in for sound after one week of use.

Overall Evaluation: Shopping for an affordable HDTV to replace an 18 year old 25" TV console, I spotted an Office Depot ad in the Sunday newspaper that fit the bill. Called various Office Depots in the Milwaukee area and asked one store to put it on hold. Arrived at the store and before finalizing the sale, took a comparison look at other display models. Could not keep my eyes off the Viewsonic. The other TV's displayed had washed out colors compared to the Viewsonic N2635W. I could even view the picture from an extreme side angle, not witnessed on the the TV's. Ended up buying the Viewsonic, and took it home to set up, which turned out very easy. Attached a rabbit ear antenna to the Viewsonic, turned the TV on, went to the setup menu, scanned TV stations which took about 3 minutes, and captured 14 digital channels. Played with the other settings and had the TV ready to view in less than 30 minutes. The sound quality is the only thing I am taking time to get used to. I am thinking that this is dependent on the broadcast signal instead of the TV itself. There is a wide range of choices to make on the Viewsonic, such as equalizer settings, and automatic audio levels. When watching sports, the sound is different when compared to watching a DVD movie. I find myself playing with the audio settings more than I want to. Overall this Viewsonic 26" HDTV is a great value for the money.

Strengths: Picture quality, sound, easy to use.

Weaknesses:Takes a while to turn on after pushing power button, and the same with changing channels.

Overall Evaluation: I put this TV in my bedroom after upgrading from a 19". Overall this TV is perfect for an average size bedroom. It serves its purpose and I am happy with it so far. I have owned it for about a month.

Strengths: Good price (I paid $450), beautiful picture, it has an HD tuner built in (ready for the Feb 09 switch), very nice exterior appearance, it's an LCD TV so it's a feather weight compared to a CRT TV.

Weaknesses:Takes kind of long to turn on (4-5 sec), only has one HDMI connection, it's always on 16:9 ratio and you can't change it to 4:3 even if you wanted to (at least I haven't figured out how).

Overall Evaluation: Our old 27" standard definition TV had been acting up. It wouldn't turn on sometimes (I'd have to unplug the power cable for a minute or so to get it to work). So it was time for a new TV. We'd been looking for a couple months for one and came across a deal for this Viewsonic TV for $450. I like it a lot. The HD channels look just amazing on it. It takes kind of long to turn on (4-5 seconds) but it doesn't really bother me. I can't find anywhere in the menu to change the screen to 4:3 but I'd rather the picture be stretched a little than have a smaller picture so it's no biggie. The TV is real work of art and looks really nice in our living room. It performs great and I haven't seen any ghosting because of the fast 8ms response time. It's an all around great TV and I highly recommend it.

Strengths: Works as Monitor as well as TV. Clear picture quality. Provides multiple input formats. It comes with a 26" widescreen LCD TV which immerses you in high-definition entertainment. It has Fast video response, high brightness and contrast ratio and delivers

Weaknesses:There is some sound coming even when the TV is off. There is a blue/orange light showing in the front.

Overall Evaluation: With S-Video connected to computer I am getting a black and with picture and tired to contact the customer service but i don't think there is any. After waiting on phone for nearly 55 mins to be connected to a rep finally disconnected the call.
