Strengths: HD TV is great. See below for major weakness.
Weaknesses:I bought the entire system; HD TV, Surround sound, and the DVD player. I now find out that the DVD player does not play HD movies discs!!!
Overall Evaluation: I am quite upset that this very expensive system does not play the HD movie disc I get from NetFlix. Wish I had known this. Larry Johnston LarrySherij@hotmail.com

Strengths: Color, Speakers sharpness,
Weaknesses:1080 I de interlacing
Overall Evaluation: I've had this TV for about a month. I am the worst critic out there that always looks for perfection. This set out of all of the ones I've seen in the store does have the best Pic. Bad First From what I heard in reviews and tested on my own with the HQV Benchmark it does show failure on video resolution loss test which in general from what I understand converts 1080I to 1080P. with film However when I watch standard dvd's to my eye (depending on the film quality) almost looks as good as Blue Ray. (I have changed the out put settings on player to make the TV do the interlacing and vise versa. compared to other set's that I've seen it looks great. Some TV stations from Comcast look like crap even high def channels, But others look great and that is in 1080I form. So I have to learn that I cannot go solely on the specs of a benchmark. At first I was angry But from what I learned other top manufacture have worst problems such as black levels and color accuracys and also the problem I mentioned above. My personal opinion make something without flaws before you sell it. But the world does not operate that way. especally if it's going to cost an arm and leg. Good News Every time I go back to the store to look at other set's at first glance my eye catches the sony brand It's color, sharpness, and over picture just sticks out out of all of the others. If When I watch a fast movie it's not choppy. Sometimes I put the motion flow on high but I like it on standard because sometimes you might get a jitter but the 3d effect is so cool anyway. Just wish it was perfect. Anyway I really do enjoy the set when I'm not obessed with benchmarks and do highly recomend it. Enjoy it it's a winner out of all of the others.

Strengths: Great picture as everyone before me has stated. Zoom mode allows you to view non-wide formats in a non distorted aspect ratio. Picture in Picture nice. Easy on-screen menus
Weaknesses:Remote control could be smarter. Changing channel can switch you to TV mode. You need to pay attention as to what is currently activated (TV or Cable). Missing button to open and close DVD draw.
Overall Evaluation: We love this TV. The Zoom setting will allow you to view normal aspect ratio programming without a stretched distortion of the picture. It does this by cropping in on the picture so you will lose some image top and bottom such as scores during a game but you can easily change the view as needed by toggling back and forth. The Cinema setting gives you a nice picture with low res broadcasts and though it mutes the colors compared to the other color settings it is a great feature. I find the onscreen menus easy to navigate. Very pleased with this product!

Strengths: Beautiful picture in STD Def and GREAT picture in HD
Weaknesses:None
Overall Evaluation: I originally had my mind set on the Samsung LN-T4661F; but a visit to a local video store that carries Samsung and Sony changed my mind. Seeing the Samsung and 46XBR4 side by side was an eye opener, the picture was stunning on the Sony 46XBR4. The store manager let me adjust the setting, switched to STD Def and generally play around with the sets. While the Samsung held it?s own the glossy screen a major negative point, then the store owner dropped the price on the Sony and the deal was done. A few minor adjustments (changed from Vivid to Standard) and the 46XBR4 is better looking at home than in the store. My library of STD DVD?s look great, STD Def (I have Comcast cable) looks great and HD content looks OUTSTANDING?
