  Strengths: Great binocular. Easy to focus. Very light.

  Weaknesses:The instructions to attach the eye cap and lens cap to the neck strap are not that good.

  Overall Evaluation: I used it for a day, but I really love it. At this price to get a binocular from a company like Nikon is really great. Pretty light so I can carry it with me for my trips. Will surely recommend to you all.

  Strengths: very clear view; good focal adjustment control

  Weaknesses:little hard to make left and right focal identical

  Overall Evaluation: First of all, it's comfortable to hold or hang on the neck. Nice overall design. The view through the lens is very clear for a good couple of miles. It has focal adjustment and fine adjustment at right eye. My only problem is it a little hard to make sure the left and right has the identical focal distance.

  Strengths: Biggest bang for the money.

  Weaknesses:Cannot view Terrestrial objects. Bulky

  Overall Evaluation: Used it to view the forest behind my house it just came alive. The view was amazingly clear it was like looking through 3-D glasses! Will definitely recommend it for first time users who want a quality product and willing to pay the premium.

  Overall Evaluation: I WAS USING A ZEISS BINOCULAR 8X40 FROM WORLD WAR 11. THE OPTICS AND CLARITY ON THIS NIKON 8X40 SURPASSES THE ZEISS AT A PRICE THAT IS AMAZINGLY LOW. IT IS EASIER TO HOLD AND QUICKER TO FOCUS.

  Strengths: Optics are clear as a bell.Easy to focus and not too heavy.

  Weaknesses:None that jump out at me at this time

  Overall Evaluation: I bought this binocular because my neighbor had the Nikon Action 7x35 and I tried it out and was impressed. I now have improved even on his with this 8x40. I might add I got it for a lesser price than he paid for his.
