    Duration of ownership: 6 Months

Strengths: Versatile (scans, prints high-quality photos and text, duplexes) & Easy to Use (controls are intuitive and functions can be accessed without menus)

Weaknesses:Expensive ink (but hey, that is how these companies make money since printers are so cheap)

Overall Evaluation: I love this printer. I replaced a scanner and a printer on my desk with one unit no bigger than either I had. I expected the controls to be complicated since this baby could duplex, feed from multiple trays, print from many file sources, and do so much else. I was pleasantly surprised at how intuitive the user interface is. The scroll wheel allows access to all functions without having to guess which menu you need to choose. Graphic images accompany the choices to make it faster. Choosing the top or lower paper feed tray is the simple matter of selecting from two dedicated buttons that have idiot lights to confirm the choice. Even the print driver makes default selections easy.

    Strengths: Super printer.

    Weaknesses:None

Overall Evaluation: This was purchased as a replacement for a worn out all-in-one printer from a different manufacturer. It is used primarily as a text and graphics printer and photocopier. The quality of printed materials, in both black and in color, is excellent. Copy quality is also excellent. The Canon uses five ink cartridges -- CYMK for color work, a separate black for black-only work. I've been in the computer industry for fifty years and have owned and used many different printers. I highly recommend this printer.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Pretty much everything

    Weaknesses:Chipped Ink tanks are expensive

Overall Evaluation: What can you say about a multi-function printer that was highly rated by PC Magazine and ConsumerReports.org? How about it deserves all the praise. It seems to do everything real well. Lots of settings including a quiet mode to set for nighttime printing. It will probably take years before I use all the features it has. So far, my only complaint was that the printer stopped recognizing the yellow cartridge. A quick call to Canon and they are sending me a replacement cartridge. Kudos to the printer AND to Canon support! I'm DONE with Epson.

Overall Evaluation: This printer my second printer after HP, Canon 610 has very smooth when printing, scanning or copying. The price cheaper than other serial with same feature. I high recommended to buy it.

Strengths: The unit has an attractive design, is easy to use, and makes beautiful prints. It is the logical choice for a Canon camera. It's fast too!

    Weaknesses:The ink is somewhat expensive.

Overall Evaluation: I like being able to print directly from the Canon mp610 without having to boot up my computer. It is also convenient to have two different paper trays so I can load one with standard inkjet paper and the other with photo paper. The LCD displays my photos and a scroll wheel makes it easy to select any function. Scanning is fast and easy too, but the photo print quality is really what sold me on the Canon mp610.I looked around before deciding and kept coming back to this model.Everyone who has seen my photos printed from the Canon mp610 has been impressed.I highly recommend it and I am glad that I bought it!
