  Duration of ownership: 4 Months

  Strengths: Quick lock on satilites, even in my home. The screen display is great, graffics wonderful, enough info displayed and very very easy to use, had it working on the way home from the store. Great for storing routes you have taken in the past.

  Weaknesses:The routes it plans out always takes me off the highway too soon, at least two exits before I should have gotten off. Not enough places of interest, very minimal list.

  Overall Evaluation: For the price I paid for this unit it is great. It does everything the expensive units do except text to speech. It was a little confusing about where to turn, but I realize it will give you a distance first and right when you get to the turn it again says "turn now". But, I would much prefer the street name. Other than that I love this unit the size is perfect and I carry it in my pocket book. I also own a Garmin PDA which is so complicated I purchased the Tom Tom and only use the Garmin to look up POI.

  Weaknesses:keeps rebooting not reliable replace 3 devices by comet but all had same problem

  Overall Evaluation: please avoid this unit waste of time and money

  Strengths: Some features ok

  Weaknesses:Poor Map Update guarantee, If It don't work tech support takes days to help. The community update is a farce can't correct anything usefull. The recalculate tries to back track to origional route.

  Overall Evaluation: Tech support make you send proof of purchase to get your guarantee map update. The method of sending takes 24 hours for fax. I was so frustrated I almost took it back to Wal-Mart

  Strengths: Fairly Easy To Use

  Weaknesses:Battery Life, Locks Up Going Through Hills, Did I Mention Battery Life

  Overall Evaluation: This thing is decent, but the battery life is HORRIBLE!!! Eats batteries like Kobayashi at a Hot Dog eating contest! It also locks up every single time I go through a small bunch of hills or small canyon. My Blackberry is more reliable when it comes to that. Not quite a good buy at $250..Maybe at $150..

  Weaknesses:Miami local street maps are not up to date.

  Overall Evaluation: Miami local street maps are not up to date roads have changed in the past five years and they are not recognized.I would like to see the availability of changing routes by shortest or adding a stop for one time.
