Strengths: Keeps me occupied and out of trouble. My family knows where I am.

Weaknesses:I don't seem to do a darn thing around the house...wife and kids don't like that too much.

Overall Evaluation: Ok, being serious about the game, it is great. Everytime I play it, I am always challenged by the computer AI to do well. The game is fair and depending on the difficulty level you choose, the computer AI can be a downright genious...which usually involves me losing. I usually play on the second to easiest level...that way I have a chance of winning without thinking too much on strategy. Graphics are great and the minimum requirements, I think, represent the majority of PCs that are actually owned. You don't need to own a super mega-computer to run this game.

Strengths: In depth video game easy to get deeply involed with.

Weaknesses:Slow paced game compared to previous Civ games

Overall Evaluation: I have played the two previous Civlization releases. This release is a big improvment in overall gameplay and visual enhancement. Yet my heart long for the quicker pace system of the previous two. This game is a good find.

Strengths: This game is awesome for the strategy that it takes to play. It never gets borning andyou can play over and over.

Weaknesses:There could be an inprovement in graphics, but I guess in this type of game you can't expect much more.

Overall Evaluation: The best part of this game is that unlike other games that one you beat or know the solution it has no replay value. This game here is never the same when you beaten it and play it again. It never is borning, never the same game and very startegic type game that makes you think.

Strengths: Classic turn based strategy play is a plus... lets you concentrate on global strategies rather than local tactics.

Weaknesses:SLOW gameplay, especially once you map most of the world... weak combat system; needs mass combat and some method of checking tech mismatches.

Overall Evaluation: After playing this game out of frustration for lack of a better TBS type game I finally found an old copy of Master of Magic and have been far more satisfied. Civilization is a good idea, and has alot of great features but falls flat on its face in terms of game flow and it's combat system (which needs a serious overhaul). If combat is to be used it needs something to make mass combat possible... I hate having to go read a book for 10 to 15 minutes while my stack of eight or nine units is assaulted by four or more stacks of enemy units... plus, swordsmen should not be able to beat modern armor or mech infantry- EVER.

Strengths: Beautifully rendered graffics, sounds, animation. I love the music.

    Weaknesses:

Overall Evaluation: I love this game. It takes forever to play it but it keeps me involved completely. Very difficult to win this version just on staying power. I do wish there was a way to extend the game to a longer time frame in years evolved.
