Duration of ownership:
Strengths: 1. Compact size - measuring 14" x9" x8"2. Capable of accepting pages up to legal (8.5 in x 14 in)3. Very inexpensive price
Weaknesses:1. Cable not included (as is true for most printers)2. Does not support two-sided printing3. Toner can be expensive (as is true for most printers)
Overall Evaluation: I bought this laser printer from a promotion buy at Staples. And I am very satisfied, since the price of this compact printer is very close to an ink-printer. But as you may know that laser printers give you better use of the toner. It is also very small compared with many other laser printers, and can be put on the table without taking too much space. It doesn't print color.

Duration of ownership: 2 Days
Strengths: Small, nice design, cheap
Weaknesses:small cartridge, no separate manuel tray
Overall Evaluation: it comes with a driver software cd with instructions instead of paper.Small cartridge prints upto 1,500 expensive compare to other brands small printers that will print 2,500. But it's good if you are not printing much and need to save some desk top space. I like the small size. it doesn't have separate manuel feeder for envelpe etc. but I found envelopes go through by locating it on top of the stack of the papers(without taking the paper stack out)and they go trough without problem. Recomend for small printing home or office compared to my old brother HL-2040 which broke down so easily and the manuel feeder didnt work very well and took more space.

Strengths: fast, good quality, light weight
Weaknesses:need better driver, won't work with wireless print server
Overall Evaluation: I love this printer, I bought it on sale over the weekend for under $100 (couldn't resist a laser printer at that price!). I probably printed about 700 pages this weekend, one of the perks of being a Grad student I suppose. The Positives -Prints quickly and great font quality -The printer is SMALL, smaller than my injet. -Works great with XP and Vista (sorry, No Mac to test on) The Con -This printer won't work with my wireless print server. The reason given is that the driver doesn't support it at this time. My workaround for the time being is to share the printer from the desktop in my office since I do most of my printing from my laptop in another room. Hopefully that driver or a firmware upgrade to the print server (whichever comes first) comes out soon! Otherwise this is an incredible laser printer for the price! On a side note, many people in discussion forums have complained about the high cost per sheet for a laser printer (about 4 cents a page), it is still far lower than any inkjet AND the printer just came out, as far as I've seen, Laser cartridges (at least here on Amazon) tend to fall in price by a few dollars after the product has been out for 6 or more months. I don't see this changing for this printer as well.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: fast printing and small footprint
Weaknesses:No cables very very expensive toner
Overall Evaluation: Nice printer fast and easy to use (as most printers are. Sparse on the toner that comes with it; i printed about 400 pages before it ran out. Replacement costs of toner makes this almost a throwaway printer.
