    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: cheapcompatible

    Weaknesses:no weaknesses

Overall Evaluation: works great in my compaq presario as well as my t61p, even though both of them are spec'ed for pc2-5300. OCZ has the best customer support as well. you can't go wrong with this upgrade. Note that Vista 32 bit and XP both cannot fully utilize 4gb of RAM -- depending on your system, you'll see either 3gb or 3.5gb display (and used) by the OS.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: 800Mhz Speed.

    Weaknesses:None

Overall Evaluation: After reading so many reviews that say that they can't run this memory at 800Mhz. speed, I was surprised that my laptop with Turion runs this memory at 800Mhz. I ran my laptop's memory tests for hours, and it did not give a single error. Unfortunately Windows XP cannot see all the 4GB, but still it was worth buying this since there is not much price difference between this one and a 3GB one. I have not see any problems with this memory so far.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: pro: good price, easy to install, very speedy

    Weaknesses:not all 4GBs are recognized

Overall Evaluation: works perfect in the new laptop. Easy to install and it's one of the fastest memories which can be found in the market. The 800MHz front bus speed and dual channel gives excellent performance under windows. Besides, OCZ is a reliable company, the build quality is great, as well as their lifetime warranty and customer support. However, Not all 4GB memories are recognized, but this is the problem for all 32-bit systems rather than the memory itself. Using a 64-bit system will avoid this issue.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks

Strengths: Very stable. Tested over 24 hours on Memtest86+ and no error.

Weaknesses:A bit pricey in certain e-stores. Some earlier matched sticks are known to cause error (like BSOD, difficulty booting out of BIOS, etc.).

Overall Evaluation: OCZ is a really reliable company. This is my 3rd purchase on OCZ RAM because of my trust in the company. If you go to OCZ's official forums, it is known that some earlier matched sticks of this particular model (OCZ2M8004GK) cause BSOD in Windows and BIOS errors (probably a bad batch). It quickly got phased out so it should be no problem now. I tested my set with Memtest86+ for over 24 hours and it was error-free. OCZ can be a bit expensive when no rebate is offered, but you buy with the assurance that they will actually help you if you require aid. They have a superb forum at: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/ where the mods and admins will quickly answer your questions. The latency setting is 5-5-5-15 at 800, but if you run at 667, it's actually at a slightly faster latency (4-5-5-13). Overall, I really enjoyed the product. 4GB of RAM won't technically speed up your computer; what it does is makes everything run smoother, so it is perceived as "faster." The extra RAM is really noticeable when gaming since more will be dependent on RAM than on hard drive.

    Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks

Strengths: Works as advertised, no problems. Awesome alternative to overpriced memory upgrade on pre-configured and built-to-order systems.

Weaknesses:Only CAS 5 latency, but that's the case with most notebook memory and you'll never notice anyhow

Overall Evaluation: Works great in Dell Vostro 1500. RAM only runs at DDR-667 due to motherboard limitations, but I was expecting this. The price differential on this memory and true DDR-667 was close enough that it was worth trying. Plus, I can always swap the RAM into a faster machine if I upgrade later. Memory Performance score in Windows Vista went from 4.5 to 4.8, although that may have been due in part to having only 1GB of memory before upgrading. This is my third OCZ memory purchase and all have performed like champs. OCZ has come through with another winner!
