    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Great flat frequency response through all frequency ranges. Comfortable, durable, isolation. Cheap price for professional quality

Weaknesses:None for the price range. You might find better sound quality for a lot more money.

Overall Evaluation: I am a recording engineer that is recording, mixing and mastering music daily. I also have two sets of high quality monitors (speakers in the recording world) in a great listening environment. These headphones are outstanding for just a $100 price tag. I mainly mix with my monitors, but when I need to mix the very bottom 20-50 hz area, these headphones have not failed to give me an accurate representation of the mix. I love the sound quality and accuracy you get in the mid frequencies as well. I now own 3 sets of these and I am about to order my 4th set which will be used when tracking the whole band together. Note that these headphones are designed for accurate response, not hyped bass and hi\'s like most

    Duration of ownership: 19 Months

Strengths: Excellent "uncolored" closed headphone sound. Nice collapsable design.

Weaknesses:Adjustable headband too feeble for professional use.

Overall Evaluation: I have been a full-time radio broadcaster for 36 years and have used Sennheiser 'phones for my entire career. Nobody uses headphones more carefully and takes better care of them I do. I've owned two sets of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones. On the first set: the headband fell apart and the coiled cord failed after eight months of use. The headband broke in two on the second set after nineteen months of use. Neither set outlived the 24 month warranty period.Excellent 'phones for home use, but will not stand up to the demands of full-time (five days a week) professional use.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Exceptional sound clarity (across all ranges), best passive noise canceling headphones, yet.

Weaknesses:slightly bulky and not too flexible.

Overall Evaluation: The performance is definitely worth the money! These WILL make you take a second look at your music collection. Songs you might have previously listened to, will certainly sound richer. The only downside is that these headphones don't fit comfortably in case you have a "big head", which means you cannot wear this for hours at a stretch. Overall, a fantastic product, and great value for money!Do not hesitate if you have an average sized head, Go for it!

    Duration of ownership: 2 Years

Strengths: Frequency response (8 Hz - 25 KHz) for deep bass and sharp treble, serious comfort, blocks outside sound perfectly. And the price is great, better from what it was when I bought it.

    Weaknesses:None.

Overall Evaluation: I have been using this pair of HD 280's for almost 2 years, and let me tell you, once these break, get stolen, or get caught in a fire, I will replace them the same day. After a 3 month fight for the best headphones, I came across these beauties and once I put them on, I was hooked. The comfort can not be beaten, not by my experience. On a flight I wore them 8 hours, non stop, with absolutely no discomfort whatsoever, and with the superb around-ear padding, I could block out engine noise and that brat sitting next to me whining for a soda the whole trip. Now, if you are a bass junky, these will fit your needs. Whether it's gaming or Rap music, these will keep the booms at a nice low, rich rumble. They are like a subwoofer in your ear, if the conditions are right. ANd remember that time you had those big headphones and you tried to turn up the beat and you heard that weird popping or hissing distortion? You won't get that with these. At all. Play any Battlefield 2 or Half-Life 2? Oh, it's a whole new experience with these. Don't worry about turning the bass up on your sound card or media player, these will handle every bit of it. Worry about that distortion when the volume is really high? I am yet to hear a single pop or hiss due to distortion from high volume. My ears hurt before I can hear any distortion, so if there is any, it would be at a volume beyond what you would tolerate (likely, but that is just me).Attention Gamers, Rappers, Rockers, and Noisy Brat Blockers, these headphones are right for you.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Excellent sound reproduction. Very comfortable earphones and headband. Amazingly durable. I've run these things over with an office chair and stepped on them dozens of times and they're still great

Weaknesses:Far too heavy and hot to wear around outside in even mild weather.

Overall Evaluation: Best dj style headphones I've very owned. These things are comfortable and block out about 30 decibles of ambient noise. They're the perfect dorm room headphones or family room headphones. No need to worry about them getting beat up by others, because they can take it and keep sounding great.
