Strengths: When the southbridge fan is working it runs fine.
Weaknesses:Southbridge fan suxors!
Overall Evaluation: The first southbridge fan quit and they sent me a new "improved" fan. I had to take my mobo out, not fun after getting everything setup in my case the way I wanted it. I thought, great problem solved. A few months later the same thing happened. I guess I will have to get another mobo. I will never buy an Asus again.

Strengths: Overclocking is a breeze, layout is perfect for my mid-tower, installation went without a hitch
Weaknesses:none. If the chipset fan bugs you, enable Cool N Quiet.
Overall Evaluation: Overclocked my AMD X2 3800+ to 2.4 GHz on 1.36 VCore. stable and remains cool and quiet (or relatively so). Great for the beginner overclocker, NOT recommended for us advanced folks who want some more BIOS options and more bells & whistles. Handles my ATI X1800XT (Overclocked through Catalyst to 690/1600), and remains stable. Did I get lucky? Or is this just a good board with a bad chipset fan. Either way, it's a great budget board.

Strengths: Dual PCI - Loaded with extras - raid, usb, sata ports
Weaknesses:Chipset fan!
Overall Evaluation: Nice features...plenty of bells and whistles. But still not sure if ASUS put out the best board this time. I feel they should have kept it in testing a little longer. I'm not totally comfortable in completing the switch. I also have the ASUS A7N8x Deluxe as my primary pc till I iron out the few bugs in this one. Although it does smoke my other pc away! Stability??? We shall see.

Strengths: Great features. Great accessories/cables included.
Weaknesses:CHIPSET FAN SUCKS!!!!
Overall Evaluation: At first I was really impressed with this motherboard - the performance was astounding. Then things started to go wrong within a month...The chipset fan died. Doing some research I discovered these motherboards are renound for this! Have now upgraded to the premium version which has no fan and so far (touch wood) Ive had no problems. Worth the extra $40!
