Strengths: 1. The image quality is the best I have ever seen.
2. The gloss panel makes for deeper, richer colors
3. Attention to detail is awesome for a TN Panel.
4. Dells build quality, 3 years warranty with excellent back up service.
Weaknesses:Non adjustable stand for height
Initial setting requires tuning for best picture
Overall Evaluation:
I have spent the last 6 mths trying to deceide what I consider to be the best 22" TN Panel on the market.
Comparing brand Names such as Samsung, HP,Asus and Veiwsonic etc.
Important considerations for me was..Quality,Value for money and Warranty/Back-up service.
My personal choice is Dell SP2208WFT.(This is not to say the other brands arn't worthy)
The normal purchased price was $649.00 from Dell Australia.
To expensive you say ?? This monitor was on special,Plus NRMA rebate 10%
I paid $449.00 for a $649 monitor and the unit was delivered with-in 4 days. (22 feb 2008)
Firering up this display I found no fault what so ever..No dead pixels etc.
However the default setting were far to bright. To remedy this, the settings I used were:
Brightness 70
Contrast 75
Sharpness 50
Scaling Ratio Fill
Color
R 90
G 90
B 90
Clear, precise text and excellent color.
You may ask if there is a panel lottery, as with most brands this seems to be the case.
The Dell SP2208WFP is either
1. TN Film AUO-M220Ew01 V5
2. Samsung AMICDLTM22M2-LO1-K .. Both regarded as good panels.
Conclusion-
Of course this is not a high end monitor, but if your into playing games and fast intense games at that,
with the 2ms response time 2000:1 contrast ratio, this 22" monitor in my opinion will meet your needs.
I for one, am very impressed with Dells overall build quality.

Strengths: Very bright, contrast ratio, integrated webcam and mic, usb ports, HDMI port, 2ms response time
Weaknesses:No adjustable stand
Overall Evaluation: I have bought with Dell Inspiron 530 and I am very happy with it. It is very bright and I even adjusted to low brightness sometimes. I watch movie and play game both excellent. The only problem is text are really not readable, so if you are thinking to read something I can not recommend it but as I read some people solve this problem with adjusting it. Webcam is awesome and its avatar is unbelievable. Mic is great and webcam has really large view and not grainy like cheap webcams. I rather have adjustable stand on it but it is not a big problem. There is HDMI port for convenience and USB ports are very useful.

Strengths: contrast ratio, response time, webcam & mic, hdmi
Weaknesses:glossy screen
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this monitor to go along with my new Dell Inspiron 530 and I'm very happy I bought it. Although the glossy screen reflects some light from my window, the screen is bright enough that it doesn't really matter. The screen is beautiful and the webcam and mic sealed the deal for me! On top of that, you get HDMI which works great with my PS3!

Strengths: - Great contract.- Vivid colors.- DVI, HDMI and Analog Connectors- Automatic Standby- Great warranty.
Weaknesses:- No adjustable stand included, and not even for sale as an accessory!- Speaker needs to be purchased separately- Video Camera image quality sub-standard.
Overall Evaluation: All current operating systems and most video cards allow users to user more than one monitor, yet only a few people have started to adopt that practice. I for once experienced the use of two monitors for the first time at the office, and I loved it. It provides so much flexibility that I decided to look into the possibility of adding an extra monitor to my home desk, in order to complement my 17 inch notebook. When I saw the price on this Dell monitor I couldn't resist, and I bought it right away. I am NOT dissapointed at all. The size is great, the contract is great, and the colors very vivid. The only apects that could be improved are that 1) The built in webcam has sub-standard image quality. Even the built it camera on my HP notebook computer has better image quality. 2) The stand doesn't allow for any movement what-so-ever, and Dell doesn't even offer a different stand as an upgrade or as an accessory. Despite those two shortcommings, this is a great monitor that will NOT dissapoint.
