    Duration of ownership: 14 Months

    Strengths: Solid connections & uptime, but only after applying firmware revision 2.0.0-139

    Weaknesses:Required a learning curve to fine tune

    Overall Evaluation: I originally bought this to firewall our 25 user office and permit VPN utilizing the included 5-user VPN client disk. The firewall is HIGHLY configurable, allowing wonderful control over user access/denial, traffic metering, keyword blocking, content filtering, and more! Prior to upgrading the firmware the unit would intermittently stop routing internet traffic. However, the new v2 firmware became available and it has been a HUGE improvement. The graphical interface changed completely (for the better) and is more intuitive. But more importantly the internet connection ALWAYS works--for months on end. Yay! Definitely a solid rack mount unit. I would definitely recommend--but only after a firmware upgrade! I have yet to successfully configure the VPN because of my inexperience, but also because of the horrible instructions. Someday I'll get the VPN configured...
