Strengths: the other option (for ipod use) is $100
Weaknesses:currently only 1 channel works
Overall Evaluation: there are no reasonably priced alternatives to connect a laptop, cassette or ipod to a pioneer head unit. and unfortunately the one i purchased has become 1/2 dead over 9 months of use. the left channel cut out on occaision when using a cassette walkman over the last 9 months and now permanently does not work. i'll have to see what customer service exists but having to mail it to a service center is barely cost effective.

Strengths: It's simple. Does exacly what it is designed to do. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Weaknesses:A bit pricy. Cable could be a bit longer.
Overall Evaluation: The hardest part of installing this bit, is getting to the back of your appropriately compatible Pioneer Head Unit. Once you get back there, then it's as simple as plugging it in. Then the next hardest part is routing it to where you want it to be. The cable is only 18 inches. In my case, six more inches would have been perfect. But I found a spot, just underneath my dash, where it fits perfectly. It's stuck with standard foam double sided tape. It looks completely stock, not out of place at all. It's very high quality. The cable seems shielded and very durable. This is a perfect way of adding an AUX port to your Pioneer Head Unit.

Strengths: Very small unit that does the job very well.
Weaknesses:None
Overall Evaluation: This unit is great. I am using it to connect my ipod to my pioneer headunit because the CD-IB100 had received such poor reviews across the board. I also just bought iPod Mobile Power Cord 30P with 3.5mm Audio Output from Belkin so i can play my ipod and charge it at the same time. All for less than the price of the crappy CD-IB100.

Strengths: Good Quality component.
Weaknesses:Ok price.
Overall Evaluation: Just as describe. Good build quality. The Pioneer CDRB-10 is great for adding rca input jacks to your pioneer car receiver. I use it so I can have my portable mp3 player run through my car stereo.

Strengths: I can now plug my ipod into my Pioneer head unit.
Weaknesses:Would prefer screw holes to mount the unit to my car (I had to use double-sided tape). Cable needs to be longer.
Overall Evaluation: If you have a portable device such as an MP3 player and want to hear it on your car's system, this is the perfect item. Pretty simple device, plugs right into the CD changer on the back of the head unit. You will need to mount it to your car using double-sided tape or glue, there is no way to mount it using screws.
