  Duration of ownership:

  Strengths: A great addition to games like SingStar where you can take silly photos and videos of you and your friends.

  Weaknesses:It's wired and the blue LED light comes on whenever your PS3 is on. Could be annoying to some people. No good games support it except for SingStar (if you're into kareoke, that is)

  Overall Evaluation: There's no real need to buy this camera for your PS3 until now. I bought it for the new SingStar game and I love it! This is the game that really makes good use of the eye camera where it takes photos and short videos of you and your friends singing. You won't believe how much fun we had at our kareoke party watching our silly performances :D The game won't be the same without the eye camera. I highly recommend getting this ps3 eye and the SingStar game together. On the other hand, if you're not into kareoke, then I suggest you should wait. This eye cam is only going to be as good as the game that supports it. So think about that before you make the purchase. As for me, it's worth every penny of it ;-)

  Duration of ownership:

  Strengths: Fast frame rate, extends game capability, able to record good video and take good picture, provide software to edit video and picture, good microphone

  Weaknesses:wire, the base is light so need to adjust the position often

  Overall Evaluation: I like this eye webcam. Video chatting with friend who has this webcam also looks smooth. Comparing to other webcam, this one has very few lagging. The build-in microphone is very good in terms of picking up and transferring voice conversation. I download the software free from PSN and am surprised by the quality. It is easy to use and lets me do the video and picture capturing and editing. There are eye webcam specific games for purchase in PSN. They don't cost much but I can see it's good for party. The most interest usage to me is capturing my face and put into the game figure in Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 game. This is very fun seeing myself inside the game. I can see this is one of the direction for game making company.It uses usb wire connection so the wire is laying around. Just wish it's wireless. The base is light so I need to adjust the position every time I use it.

  Strengths: Good Microphone, well built, good price, plug and play

  Weaknesses:No Bluetooth Connection

  Overall Evaluation: My 15-months old son enjoys the aquarium, interactive screen saver. At least he's moving instead of just watching TV during the winter time. We also use it from time to time as a video surveillance, and I can see it live using remote play capability on PSP. Good deal for the price. The only drawback is no bluetooth.

  Strengths: Great for TV conferencing with family afar for FREE! Interactive games are fun and intuitive!!

  Weaknesses:A little lag on video streaming, maybe Sony Network is the bottleneck

  Overall Evaluation: Bought this Playstation eye for having TV conferencing with family afar who has a PS3 as well. My children love it very much because they can see their grandpa and grandma from a big screen TV. Games that made for this are great, my daughter love the aquarium where the fishes react to your motions.

  Strengths: Cool looking. Inexpensive. There's potential.

  Weaknesses:No bundled software. USB cable makes it difficult to position on TV. Mediocre camera without proper lighting.

  Overall Evaluation: The camera alone can be had for about $33, but the camera does not come with any bundled software. You can download a small basic video capturing and editing software from the Playstation network for free and there are about half a dozen games you can download for $1.99 to $4.99. I was expecting to use the camera to monitor my house or have televideo conferences, but I don't see any software outh there that will allow me to do this through my PS3. Any suggestions?
