  Overall Evaluation: This is definitely the best universal remote I've ever owned...period. It does everything the manufacturer says it will do. The remote itself is very easy to use and intuitive. The web-based software that comes with the remote makes it "extremely" simple to setup and customize according to the components you have in your entertainment system. Well worth the $189.00 I spent on it, considering the fact that it replaces the remotes for seven different A/V components in my system: Insignia HDTV with DVD Player, Comcast (Cisco) RNG200 Cable box (HDDVR), Sony DVD Recorder, Pioneer A/V Receiver, Sony CD Changer, Panasonic VCR, and TEAC Dual Cassette Deck. It is so nice not to have to pickup two or three remotes any more when I want to watch TV in surround sound or a recorded movie on my HDDVR box. I just pickup the Harmony One, select an "activity," and the remote does the rest -- turns on the right components in the right order. And the best part is, all the major features of each component can be controlled from the Harmony One, unlike other so-called universal remotes where they may turn on the component, but you eventually have to go back to the original remote to handle some basic functions. Not so with the Harmony One. This remote does it all! The engineers definitely got it right when they designed this remote. It's a "no-brainer." The last remote I'll ever need.

  Overall Evaluation: Logitech software needed to configure the remote sucks beyond belief. I'm not sure I've seen anything worse yet. Stop using monkeys to create software, Logitech! Your customers are humans

  Strengths: Extremely versatile. Great database.

  Weaknesses:Took a lot of trial and error to get where I wanted it. Slight but noticeable time lag between the push of a button and sending the signal.

  Overall Evaluation: I have a fairly complicated setup and some equipment that is ten or more years old. To my surprise the database included every device that I wanted to use. Some of the operations I wanted to program were moderately complex, and it took a fair amount of time to get each one down pat. Instructions are good, but it's not always easy to find the ones you want. Tech support is English-challenged, but was able to point me to the proper documentation every time. All in all, an excellent choice!

  Duration of ownership:

  Strengths: This is the best Harmony Remote, ever!!!!! Great appearance, easy to navigate, rechargeable battery.

  Weaknesses:It can not control a PS3 or Wii due to lack of bluetooth.

  Overall Evaluation: I have own two previous Harmony remotes and this model is by far the best one yet! The touch screen is terrific and the button layout is fantastic. I was able to migrate my old Harmony remotes settings over with the included software and then make additional tweaks without any difficulties. The remote's key light up when the remote is moved, so you can navigate the Harmony in even the darkest rooms. The rechargeable battery lasts for weeks at a time. The only negative is that it is unable to control bluetooth devices such as the PS3 and the Wii. I can not stress how much my family loves this remote.

  Overall Evaluation: It is a great product for home entertainments per Logitechweb-site it has 225,000 devices in its database. It replacesaround 5 different remotes at my house. Best of all it works with PS3 so I don't need to buy a PS3 remote and also works with my computer with Vista Ultimate on it. It takes some time to set up as it guides you through list of devices.Overall, well made product by Logitech.
