The fi-6240 scanner is able to scan an impressive 60 pages or 120 images per-minute in Monochrome or Grayscale (Letter @ 200dpi) as well as 40 pages or 80 images per-minute in Color (Letter @ 300dpi). Furthermore, the Fujitsu fi-6240 model is one of the first scanners in its class to adopt high-end "fi series" functions.

Duration of ownership: 10 Months

Strengths: speed, ADF, price

Weaknesses:not designed for multi-million page jobs

Overall Evaluation: Works very well with Macintosh OS X buy adding software from dockeep.com, which has the scanner driver built-in. No need for a Mac version of the TWAIN software that is included for Windows. This scanner provides production-class performance at well under $3,000!
