    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

Strengths: Easy setup. Works well with Linksys Wireless G Broadband router. Big screen TV is about 45 feet away in another room and the signal is strong.

Weaknesses:Takes a little while to start.

Overall Evaluation: Effortless and practical for viewing photos and recorded movies from my Media Center PC.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Months

    Strengths: Easy setup

    Weaknesses:Performance, compability

Overall Evaluation: While the unit was easy to setup, there are serious limitations. If the windows Media Center is left running on the extender, CPU resources are maxed out almost all the time. If you close Media Center and go back to the Linksys page, CPU is freed up, but when you relaunch Media Center it takes forever to reload all of the media folders and files.I swapped out an ZyXEL box for this. BIG mistake.

    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

    Strengths: Fast, nice graphic

Weaknesses:need to reconnect sometime. also, start up a little bit slow

Overall Evaluation: I have been using this box for almost 3 months. It works so well with windows media center. With the remote control I could watch, recorded any tv shows or movies that I wanted. Graphic is not bad at 720p

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Extends Vista Media Center; wireless

Weaknesses:No ripped DVD support; slow menus

Overall Evaluation: I picked up one of these for my master bedroom, as I didn't want to put in a HTPC. I have a vista ultimate HTPC in a media room on the other side of the house. The idea is to have access to the HTPC's functionality, but remotely. I already had a DVD player in the room, so didn't bother with the DMA2200 version. The unit is fairly small. I had a wired connection, so didn't the wireless capabiltiy. As a result, I cannot comment on it's functionality. Setup was fairly easy, but I describe myself as somewhat of a tech savy guy. The menus look very similar to VMC, but are very sluggish. Too sluggish, IMHO. It works fine for slideshows, and music, and downloaded videos, but the biggest downside was that it did not support the MyMovies plug-in!! As a result, I have not been able to play ripped dvds. I guess that is the downside to being an early adopter, as I would not have bought this product had I known this. Perhaps they will include it in a future firmware release. I can only hope.
