    Strengths: None I could find.

Weaknesses:If you have any issues with Nero --which you most probably will with this bloatware-- you may expect to be variously ignored, jerked around and lied to by the company.

Overall Evaluation: Don't buy Nero. If you do, you will surely regret your purchase. I foolishly purchased and downloaded Nero Ultimate, based on my use of previous free versions. The Nero suite was an absolute pig on my system, bringing my PC to its microchip knees-- even though my system exceeded their minimum system requirements. And when I tried to bear it's excruciatingly long load times, Nero's components were so convoluted and complex that I was never able to locate the tasks they claim I needed. Even a Masters Degree in systems science could not help. When I contacted Nero for support --and failing to receive that, a refund-- I was ignored and lied to for several weeks. After Nero was sure it was more than 30 days after my purchase, they told me I would "never" get a refund because it was now past the 30-day refund period. Don't be the fool I was... try something else instead.

Strengths: This product has no strengths other than taking over your computer.

Weaknesses:I tried two tasks; backup some files and copy a mini DVD; both failed.

Overall Evaluation: I find this product useless and uninstalled it.

Strengths: Jack of all trades when it comes to making/buring CDs and DVDs

Weaknesses:Overkill for many PC users, expense

Overall Evaluation: I've been a Nero user for something like the last 5 versions. It has become increasingly featured and even slightly bloated along the way, as each version added extra utilities and capabilities. With that has also come a gradual increase in price, although you can usually find some excellent rebate deals on this title once or twice a year. Much of the software go unused on my machine, as I don't master DVDs or video content. But it remains my preferred tool for CD storage tasks.

    Weaknesses:?

Overall Evaluation: I installed Nero Ultra 7 on my Daughters new laptop that I just bought her and it wouldn't work, it said that I had to upgrade to version 8. So I purchased Nero 8 from you and it doesen't work either? Of course it could be a Vista problem because that operating system sucks, but I guess I will never know. So in conclusion, my copy of Nero 8 is sitting collecting dust because there is nothing I can do with it!

Strengths: CD Burner and labeler seem to work

Weaknesses:Not compatible with my capture device

Overall Evaluation: I tried and purchased Nero 8 to transfer video tapes to DVDs. After a Nero update the transfers had no sound, and the sound control on Nero Video was grayed out. After several email exchanges and two wasted reinstalls, Nero finally revealed that not all sound capture devices are compatible, but would still not refund my money. They said I should have looked up the list of compatible devices before buying. Not a way to keep customers, or get new ones! Windows Media Encoder works with my device, so I use that now.
