  Overall Evaluation: American Idol Karaoke is a good party game.  It has pop songs from the 1960s - 2007 (no rap songs).  Can unlock new characters and select outfits and hairstyles for them. Songs have a full version or a short version.  Can perform duets or compete against each other.  The song volume can be adjusted (to drown out bad singers). The only drawback is that once finish all favorites, there's really nothing left to play.

  Weaknesses:No downloadable content, idol mode lacking, limited amount of songs, price

  Overall Evaluation: I think this game is great for karaoke fans. If you don't mind the subpar graphics, and play it just for the songs, it's a pretty good game. The library has a nice mix of classics like September and Sister Christian and newer songs like Irreplaceable. A problem with this is that there are only 40 songs (including the three unlockable ones). I find myself wanting more songs, wishing it was possible to download them. Also while looking to buy this game, I found it to be more expensive than the PS3 and XBox 360 versions even though this game has less features. Still, I would recommend this game if Wii is the only console you have. It is a joy to sing with friends and I love the songs they put in there.
