    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Low power; great overclocker

    Weaknesses:No heatsink/fan included; compatibility issues

Overall Evaluation: I upgraded from an old E6400 CPU, and was hoping it would be drop in easy. Unfortunately, I needed to update the BIOS on my ASUS motherboard to get the CPU to be even recognized. This was my problem, not the products, but it's good for people to know about! Make sure your system is compatible with the new 45nm chips!! Once installed, I've had (and still have) problems with the temperature reported for the CPU. My system report the core temp is 50 degrees Celcius at IDLE, and this is crazy! Evidently, there are isues with this on alot of motherboards. I am waiting for a BIOS update to fix this issue. Other than that, I'm very happy. Been able to overclock with my Crucial RAM with great success! Note that this does not come with the heatsink and fan.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: - Runs cool- Runs quick- Easy to install- Stock HS and Fan are quiet and works well- Low Voltage- Best value on the market- Stable and reliable

    Weaknesses:NONE!

Overall Evaluation: All I can say is WOW. Intel has pulled ahead in the race against AMD with its Core 2 Duo processor! Was able to get this up to 3.6ghz with stock cooling and AS5 on my first test. I'm sure it can go higher, but I only tried to tweak it out of curiosity after reading about the potential of this CPU. Definitely will be a fun project to OC this CPU in the future.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Runs cool, fast, and overclocks easily

    Weaknesses:None

Overall Evaluation: Dual Core for great multitasking, the 45-nm core means it overclocks like a champ, and yet remains cool. It can be overclocked very high on just air cooling. The 6mb cache is great, and even at stock speeds it is a very fast and powerful chip.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks

Strengths: very fast, dual core at 3.0 ghz, supposedly overclocks to 4.0 really easy (i dont)

Weaknesses:gets really really hot but how hot? who really knows since the sensors are usually wonky. most accurate measurement i could get was 30 idle 50 load. thats 10 degrees hotter than most would like.

Overall Evaluation: price keeps going up and up. a very small lucky few got it for sub $200. i got for $240 (once they became sold out everywhere but like 2 places) now most are listing it as $260.
