Strengths: Sleek design
Weaknesses:Buttons are faintly marked, nearly invisible; no DVI cable included with product; will not establish connection with newer MacBook; widescreen distorts image; cannot adjust tilt
Overall Evaluation: I tried for a month and more to make this monitor work with my late 2008 MacBook. First, no DVI cable came with the monitor. Then Apple's mini-DVI converter wouldn't work with the 2008 MacBook -- it has a DVI miniport, which is a different connection. When I finally got all the right cables, the monitor still wouldn't display. I got friends to check the connection -- the monitor runs fine with other computers in both digital and analog modes. I finally gave up and am using the VGA connection. The result is grainy and UGLY. There is no resolution setting that provides an acceptable image. I more or less hate it. Both Apple and Samsung insist the problem isn't with their product.

Strengths: Crispness, brightness, software included to tweak advanced display settings
Weaknesses:Adjustment buttons placed awkwardly
Overall Evaluation: I purchased two of these LCD displays to replace two old CRT monitors. Neither one has any dead pixels and both display very crisp images with vibrant colors. I actually had to lower the brightness quite a bit because it was bothering my eyes. The one thing that I would change about this monitor is the placement of the adjustment buttons. They are actually on the bottom face of the bezel, facing downward and completely out of sight. A piece of clear plastic extends below the bottom of the monitor and the button labels are on this piece of plastic. With the buttons completely obscured, it's hard to tell which button you are actually pressing. Also, you have to reach under the clear plastic part and then back up to the bottom of the bezel to reach the buttons. It was probably designed to prevent people from accidentally pressing the buttons or something like that, but it is quite an awkward design. Fortunately, once you have tweaked all the settings to your liking, you can lock in those adjustments and never have to touch the buttons again, other than the power button. As I found out later, there is some helpful software included on the CD that nullifies my complaint about the buttons. With this software, you can essentially change those same settings controlled by the buttons, but this time by using only your mouse. Overall, I'm pleased with this product and would recommend it to someone seeking a 19" widescreen LCD.

Strengths: Simple to set up, running in just minutes, excellent picture, very bright screen, EXCELLENT Display.
Weaknesses:No hard copy instructions, comes on CD provided.
Overall Evaluation: This is a GREAT monitor for the price with rebate. Replaced my 15" CRT monitor, the difference is incredible. Fits perfectly on by desk, but I had to make adjustments to the screen would be in the same position as my old flat screen monitor. I did a lot of research on LCD monitor ans this was the best for the price and I have purchased other Samsung products and stand by the name. It took a little while to get used to changing the setup to my liking. I would prefer a hard copy manual for the setup, but after playing with the buttons, I was able to set it up to my liking. What a GREAT Monitor!!!
