Strengths: Good backup as advertised
Weaknesses:Tech support not up-to-speed for this product. I'm trying to find out the pricing for the Ghost 14 Agent that is referred to for backing up another computer. User manual covers use and licensing of the Ghost Agent and has a link to the Symantec Store for purchase information. Tech support keeps asking if I want to buy another copy of Ghost.
Overall Evaluation: Except for the Agent issue, performs as advertised.

Strengths: It is probably a good file backup program.
Weaknesses:It does not create an image for a system backup.
Overall Evaluation: Prior versions of Ghost have created images for system backups. Without changing the name, Norton has changed the program from an image program to a file backup program. There are better file backup programs available, and it is unfair to change the nature of a program without changing the program name.

Strengths: None. OH the program was actually on the CD.
Weaknesses:False and misleading advertising.
Overall Evaluation: I have a dead laptop. THought I could boot to the CD, execute a backup onto the USB drive I have, then do a full hard disk wipe and reload. NOPE! I got the data off the laptop the old fashioned way by physically removing it. Then I installed Ghost onto a corporate identical laptop, backed it up to the USB drive. Installed it onto the dead laptop. NOPE!So I have to restore the dead laptop by hand. Buyer beware! because you cannot return this once you find that it sucks.OH also I am a Linux guy. After you install this crap, they THEN tell you that it doesn't backup Grub bootloader hard disks, Red Hat Enterprise linux disks, nor any disks with Grub 2. So that's like um 50-75% of the linux installations out there? OH but the advertising materials say it can backup linux disks. No caveats, like the one they tell you AFTER the fact. Oh did I mention? I run CentOS. SO this product has not helped me at all. It is garbage. I'm going to try Clonezilla (an open source one) then fallback to Acronis' True Image that I saw some "from bare metal" recovery messages.

Strengths: Very useful. Great function!
Weaknesses:Sometimes, it fails to restore.
Overall Evaluation: It is a very helpful software to pretect your machine. It has great functions such as backup and restore from system failures. However, sometimes it fails to restore. I don't know the reason, but I did meet once.

Strengths: Easy to use. Powerful
Weaknesses:It has overlap features with Norton 360 V2.0
Overall Evaluation: It is a necessary tool to backup and restore your system. It is easy to use. Full system and file backups can be easily created using this software. System can be restored based on the backups. It is a very useful software, but it overlap features with Norton 360, so sometimes, we feel confused which one we should use.
