The compact PIXMA iP90's print head features Micro-Nozzles for perfect ultra-fine, ultra-fast printing. The PIXMA iP90 Photo Printer achieves an outstanding resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dpi and delivers ultra-fine 2 picoliter droplets that reveal precise details in photographs that many other large-format printers cannot duplicate. Just connect the PIXMA iP90 to your computer via its USB interface or your PictBridge compatible camera via its Direct Print port and beautiful photos are printed in no time. It can even be connected wirelessly through its IrDA port or an optional Bluetooth adapter.The PIXMA iP90 Photo Printer is surprisingly fast, capable of printing up to 16 ppm in black and up to 12 ppm in color. It can also produce 4" x 6" borderless photos in approximately 51 seconds. Strengths: Portable design and good image quality

Weaknesses:Accesories for this are pricey

Overall Evaluation: I really love the portability and convenience of this printer. I didn't expect the quality of the image to be that great, but I was pleasantly surprised to find otherwise. It's not the fastest printer, but it does an adequate job. The only drawback about this printer is the amount of accessories you have to buy such as a bluetooth adapter, battery kit, and car charger if you are the ultimate road warrior.

Duration of ownership: 30 Days

Strengths: compact; great for travel; better than decent print job

Weaknesses:slow; tiny cartridges; pack your pockets with cartridges or cash to feed the ink monster!

Overall Evaluation: Great little printer; I got diverted & stranded at a stray airport by mechanical problems: no flights to help half of the people on the plane to get home. I hooked up my computer & printer: mapped trip home, printed directions, rented a car & got home. I had a crowd around me asking for the directions & printer job to help them get home: Couldn't have helped them without that sturdy little printer!

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Faster and quieter than BJC 85. Holds 30sheets and print quality is excellent. Software is good.

Weaknesses:Black cartridge is smaller than previous BJC models. There is no "Black only" mode. If a page has color and black type you'll get printout with color and black type. Some times passes 2 sheets thru.

Overall Evaluation: I'm quite satisfied with printer. I use it while on vacation at my Vermont home. It does almost all the things I need and do with my laser at office. For a portable, this is the best one yet from Canon. And, if you wish, it will print color pix!

Strengths: Easy installation, Portability, Excellent print quality

Weaknesses:None so far.

Overall Evaluation: I've been looking for portable printer for a little while before I bought mine. I found great reviews on PIXMA iP90. I tried one of my friend's and I loved it. I bought Canon PowerShot camera with this. With $50 mail-in rebate, price seems right. Now I feel more confident when I meet my clients outside. I won't have to make another trip just to get a document to be signed. I can print it out on site whenever I need it!

Strengths: Compact size, easily pushes 16 ppm in B&W, stunning 4x6 color photos in under a minute

Weaknesses:Room for improvement as a photo printer, but for it's size an impressive photo is produced

Overall Evaluation: Designed for the traveller in need of a portable high quality printer, the PIXMA iP90 is an option for a much broader market. Take that behemoth spacewasting printer off your dektop, because this is all the printer you need.The perfect complement for my just completed SFF computer build, the iP90 packs quite a punch in it's small package. For B&W or color printing, the image quality is superb. Photos are acceptable quality, though the avid photo printer may want to choose another printer.
