    Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks

Strengths: Has plenty of available connections, nice to be able to place it under laptop.

Weaknesses:The monitor output is almost useless.

Overall Evaluation: When I saw that this docking station has a monitor output with just a USB connection, I thought it sounded too good to be true. When I tried it, I found out that it indeed was too good to be true. The monitor output has very low resolution and pictures move very slow. I basically had to go back to using the monitor output of my laptop. Other than that, it seems to work fine.

Strengths: Good way to organize cables and connections when using your laptop as a desktop.

Weaknesses:1) Somewhat slow data transfer which you will notice on your screen.2) Video output is less then the best causing monitor resolution to be poor.3) Windows Vista drivers not included.

Overall Evaluation: This is the 2nd USB docking docking station that I've tried and my conclusion is that unless you get a laptop specifically designed for docking station interface you cannot get high quality performance. The Targus docking station works, sort of. The video output to my external monitor is poor so I've elected to simply use the laptop screen which seems to work fine. Once I downloaded the Vista drivers from Targus I was able to setup the docking station with my laptop without problems. I does make it easy to connect and disconnect from my home office network which, in itself, is very convenient.

Strengths: Very convenient, small, many USB ports, easy to install

Weaknesses:my usb wireless mouse is acting really slowly.

Overall Evaluation: Too slow when I used it with my usb wireless keyboard and mouse. Too slow that i can not reply fast enough in a meeting within my team. I decided to return it.

    Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks

Strengths: Small, simple easy to use

Weaknesses:Video only supports 1280x1024 and 16 bitNo Vista Driver included

Overall Evaluation: The unit is simple and may work for you, but it is not a true docking station in the sense of the word. My big complaint is that it doesn't support higher video resolutions, and seems to conflict with the output of my Dell M1330 laptop. I cannot get it to adjust the external resolution properly when connected, and therefore I only use the docking station as a USB hub and network connection. It does not offer me the convenience that I had sought when I purchased it. Also the cd did not include Vista drivers, which were easily dowloaded from the website. This device may however work better for you.
