Strengths: I suppose for the price this isn't a bad bit of kit but it does have some irritating limitations e.g. you think you are fast forwarding a video file and you end up back at the start.
Weaknesses:By far the worst issue I have encountered is its request to upgrade the firmware - DON'T. The first time I acceded to its request I suffered a power outage half way through the upgrade and ended up having to send it back to D-Link as it completely corrup
Overall Evaluation: Scrap your hi-fi and put all your music on you hard drive and box all your CD and DVD away it's the best thing iv done this year

Strengths: Wireless wifi integrated. Built-in DVD player
Weaknesses:Doesn't support HD file and srt subtitle. No HDMI output.
Overall Evaluation: I was in the market to look a cheap DVD player and find this D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Receiver. It has built-in DVD player so it can work as a DVD player. Now my main purpose is to use this receiver to play my saved music (mp3) or movies (avi) files in my NAS (that's also a D-Link product DNS-323). So far so good. Now I can watch movies or listen mp3 without computer! The wireless connection is not that stable. Sometimes the movie gets slow. I switched to wire connection, the issue is gone! For the price and performance, this is a great buy for me!

Strengths: Memory card reader, DVD Player and Media Player in one device, Easy setup both Wireless and Wired.
Weaknesses:Poor remote, buttons are Hard. Slow response paging through songlists. Wireless connection not stable, doesn't play high Bitrate content.
Overall Evaluation: Considering its price after rebate and Multiple devices into one, I would rate this product 3 stars. It is not a great product, but not bad one. It has Value for money. DVD player is like any other unbranded player and remote is very low grade. Comming to main functionality of Media player, i am satisfied with with Wired connection. Wireless is spotty and plays only Low Bitrate content. Software that comes with the player is no good. I have been using other software available online.

Strengths: DVD with Progressive Scan.
Weaknesses:The remote keys don't respond well. The Menu setup is counterintuitive.
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this for use as a "one stop" home media center. Setup takes a little time because of the awkwardness of the remote and screen key setup. The remote keys don't respond very well and the Menu setup is counterintuitive. I was disappointed at the picture quality when using SD card with digital pictures in this, the pictures were small and the resolution was very bad, when I play them directly from my camera they look much better. As others have mentioned the WIFI connection drops intermittently for no known reason yet all my other wireless devices continue to operate normally. I?ve streamed MP3 music through this and so far it seems to be working okay. The DVD feature in this was a "bonus" and I have been using it frequently and I'm satisfied with the picture and sound quality from the DVD.

Strengths: product quality is good and light weight
Weaknesses:none
Overall Evaluation: One of the main reasons why I went with this unit is because it is one of the few Media Players out there that supports WPA-PSK encryption. Because of better security and WEP compatibility issues with other devices on my network, I have to use WPA. I put in my key clicked OK and it connected to my network just fine.
