  Duration of ownership: 4 Months

  Strengths: Prints fast. The cost of ink is a plus when you look at how much you use per page.

  Weaknesses:I can't think of any

  Overall Evaluation: I bought this printer at the beginning of this spring semester. It worked great for me when printing reports. The printer prints it jobs fast and quiet. Since I have had I have not had any paper jams or any others error it has worked great for me.

  Strengths: not bulky, inexpensive, great result, easy to install

  Weaknesses:a bit slow for color printing

  Overall Evaluation: HP CP1215 printer is one of the most affordable color printer in the market. It is very inexpensive for such quality and performance. Black and white printing is fast and the color printing is sharp and accurate. The installation is very easy and the size is perfect for home or small office use. Last but not least, the cartridge replacement is widely available.

  Strengths: Amazingly good color for the price!

  Weaknesses:This printer may be too slow for some but it is easily fast enough for my purposes - occasional home office work.

  Overall Evaluation: I particularly like the fact that it is easy to access to paper feed areas in case of a paper jam (although it has, so far worked free of such frustrating jams.) For the best color results it is worth experimenting with the different settings for color themes (found after clicking the Properties button and then going to the color tab and selecting the manual settings ) in order to find the best color quality for your particular needs as each "theme' produces a slightly different variation of colors. All in all, this is an amazing value for the price!

  Strengths: Fantastic initial cost; great picture quality

  Weaknesses:Starter Cartridged included; Expensive refills; no network connectivity (only USB)

  Overall Evaluation: I was wanting a cheap up-front color laser-jet printer, for those ocassional times I want to print in color. This fit the bill perfectly! After a generous rebate from an office-supply store, I got this for dirt cheap! Installation was the typical slow/bloated HP affair with Vista, but I had no issues. There is no usb cable provided, so be sure you have one! Printing is extremely fast! The printer goes to low-power and super-quiet mode when in standby, but the printer wakes up and starts to print within a few seconds of hitting "print" on your computer.My only (and major knock) on this printer is that it only includes starter toner cartridges, not full ones! They want you to rush out and buy replacements, which are not cheap. The black/magenta/yellow/cyan toners go for about $65 a pop, meaning a refill will cost you $260, more than the price of the printer!

  Overall Evaluation: This printer was a great value for the money....$99 after rebate. However, it's very basic....just a color laser printer...no network port, faxing, copying, scanning, etc. The print quality is what you'd expect from a laser printer, and it will print pictures....just not the quality of a photo printer.
