Strengths: Genuine Sony Product - works 100% - taken 100s of pics and works great with my Sony HCR-11 for AVCHD and MPEG2
Weaknesses:none
Overall Evaluation: Don't fall for fake Sony cards. There are lots of these fakes on ebay; sometimes hard to detect. My pics and videos are worth the extra $50 for the genuine product.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: large storage capacity, fast write speeds
Weaknesses:expensive compared to 4 GB and smaller capacity memory sticks
Overall Evaluation: I purchased this Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo for use with my PSP and overall I am very pleased with it. It gives me more than enough space to store my save data, downloadable games and demos, video, and music. I went with 8 GB so I could keep a decent amount of music on it so that my PSP could double as my portable music player. The card offers plenty of room and writes and reads fast. I do wish it had been slightly cheaper though. Unfortunately, a stick that is half the capacity is *less* than half the price. In the long run, it was worth it for me though.

Strengths: Now a size large enough to record high quality video
Weaknesses:Still expensive
Overall Evaluation: This memory now allows me to record high quality 640 X 480 30fps video for 1 3/4 hrs on my digital camera. Other smaller sizes didn't allow enough time to capture video for me.

Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks
Strengths: Fast enough to record video
Weaknesses:Only can be used on a Sony product
Overall Evaluation: The memory stick is the new MARK2 version, meaning it is certified to work with the new video cameras that record to flash memory. The memory needs to be faster to record to it hence the MARK2 version. It's still useful for any normal Sony camera, maybe a bit quicker than the regular memory. There really isn't much to say about this memory, it does come with the adapter if you need it to be the full size memory stick. The price difference between the Mark2 version and regular is so small that there is not reason not to get this. The obvious downside is that Memory Stick only works with Sony, too bad they will never use SD like the rest of the world.
