    Duration of ownership: 6 Months

    Strengths: Mobility and inexpensive to purchase.

    Weaknesses:It is what it is...stripped of features. Forget customer support. Hard to install new software w/o CD/DVD drive

    Overall Evaluation: I use it for streaming audio to my stereo and livingroom computing/surfing while watching TV. I love it

    Strengths: very Light weight, easy to transport.

    Weaknesses:I don't like the touch pad but it is easy to disable

    Overall Evaluation: I love it.. very happy with it will do all the things I want to do.

    Strengths: terrible service

    Weaknesses:marketing is deceptive

    Overall Evaluation: I doubt this will be allowed to remain but I hope Acer/Gateway is at least honest enough to stand up for what they are. My DVD lasted 364 days before burning up so I immediately called to report it and get a service complaint number to be covered under warranty. I was told I would need to format my hard drive to know if it was a hardware or software problem (which I thought was suspicious) but, I played honestly and backed up my computer. When I phoned back, it was after midnight, so my warranty was expired and now they can't help me. Pretty slick, huh? I've never heard anything good about Gateway and now know why they market under an alias.Now they've given Acer a crummy name too.

    Duration of ownership: 8 Months

    Strengths: Good for traveling

    Weaknesses:Battery life

    Overall Evaluation: It is a good over all computer. I have no complaints with the computer. It is great for travel. One problem is the battery life is not very long. Have no idea how to get another battery. My problem is being able to get in touch with the manufacture to get questions answered. I called the number listed, I have emailed usiing the email address provided and can not contact anyone. No one answers me.
