Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks
Strengths: 45nm architecture (wolfdale), 2.53 ghz dual core processor, sufficient stock intel HSF
Weaknesses:compared to the E8400: less L2 cache (3 vs 6 MB), slower FSB (1066 vs 1333 mhz); Core 2 Duo line/platform will be end-of-life when the new Core i7 is readily available.
Overall Evaluation: I was looking for a cheap upgrade (from an AMD X2 4200+) and the E7200 is a capable and affordable chip. In games, my 8800GT was limited by my previous AMD processor. This new intel processor allows me to fully realize the capabilities of the 8800GT. I paired this with a Gigabyte motherboard and Corsair DDR2 ram and utilized components from my previous system. It's a good upgrade for ~$250 total as I couldn't wait any longer for the Nehalem/Core i7 architecture to hit the market and it would mostly likely be quite expensive at introduction. The E7200 is a good choice for price conscious consumers, however the E8400 offers better performance at the cost of an extra $50. I have not and do not plan to overclock the E7200, but overclocking could minimize some of its shortcomings though from what I've read, results from overclocking E7200 processors can vary.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Good overall performance, easy-to-install, works well with Intel DG33TL, runs cool
Weaknesses:needs more cache
Overall Evaluation: Good performance, but there are faster processors around for little more money. Still, it installed easily and performs well overall. Got a 5.2 on Windows Experience Index for processor. Installed it into an Intel DG33TL motherboard without a problem. Runs very cool and reliably.

Strengths: Good bang for the buck; plenty fast
Weaknesses:Fan is a bit small
Overall Evaluation: I was building a HTPC, so wanted a CPU that wouldn't cost alot, yet would have the capability to decode Hi-Def video. I am using on-board HDMI video output from my motherboard, so it doesn't do any hardware acceleration. The CPU needs to do that. I have not had any problem playing back Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs via Cyberlink. I have not had the need to overclock, so have not had to stress the tiny CPU fan. Intel has made them smaller than before, so not sure whether they could handle any hefty overclocking.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: 45nano, lastest intel architecture, runs very cool
Weaknesses:not 1333mhz
Overall Evaluation: I used this processor for a customers build and we were both very pleased. I believe it is faster than my E6600 but at a lower price. I would highly recommend this processor to anyone building a budget system but still looking for speed and good overclocking!!
