Strengths: Beautiful picture in HD Blu-ray
Weaknesses:Poor picture quality in SD, Standard Definition. Below average sound. Hook up instructions are limited. Lots of glare on the screen.
Overall Evaluation: Standard Definition is very poor, washed out and fuzzy picture. For comparison, my 4year old SONY LCD WEGA is crystal clear in SD, using the same hook up. I spent over 6 hours trying every conceivable setting to clear up the picture quality in SD with no decent results. I'm returning the set as most of our viewing is in SD.

Strengths: Great picture, good sound, nice design, worked well out of the box
Weaknesses:price?
Overall Evaluation: I was stunned at how beautiful this TV picture is even out of the box. I never owned a HDTV before and I was told they take a lot of tweaking. But Panasonic has preset modes that looked good, I settled on THX. It's a little dark, but you can play with the controls if you'd like. I wound up going with the default. Standard TV looks OK, but I don't know how other HDTVs handle that. The only potential weakness of the TV is whether it's worth $400 more than the G10. The differences are: A swivel stand, ability to wall mount, 96hz 24p playback, a more expensive design, an extra HDMI port and extra color settings. I like having the extra controls (although I haven't needed them yet) and haven't watched a blu-ray to take advantage of the 24p. But even if it's not worth the price difference, I think this is a great TV.
