  Duration of ownership: 8 Months

  Strengths: The realistic graphics of the 'worlds' are breathtaking, and 'story progression' allows my many households of sims to continue living sims-lives even if I don't rotate back to them for weeks at a time. It enhances the nature of sims as 'computerized living beings' and makes gameplay more interesting now that every movement or action of every sim is not left to my full direction- I can now fully enjoy the many surprises in the game.

  Weaknesses:The very limited options for genetics-skintones especially are 'normal human tones' plus from lt to dk blue, green and red only. And in create-a-style the patterns created by the user do not carry the unique names given them nor do the pattern types have sufficient catagories. Also - patterns specific to a style or time of year must stay in the game; in sims2 they could be removed without loss of textures or 'recoloring' using them.

  Overall Evaluation: The only computer game that exceeds the awesomeness of The Sims3, base game is - The Sims3 World Adventures; the first expansion pack.
