Strengths: Entertaining farming experience. Nice graphics. Connect to Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town
Weaknesses:Wish there was an option for boys.
Overall Evaluation: This is a neat little simulation game for the Gamecube. It focuses on farm life from a perspective of a little girl. Build, grow, and harvest crops. Raise animals. Create relationships. It is all about the girls, sorry guys.

Strengths: Harvest Moon, this time for girls!
Weaknesses:Daytime cycles too short to accomplish much
Overall Evaluation: Harvest Moon has always been a series popular with girls (and women). And yet in many of the titles you play as a boy tending to your farm and wooing local girls for marriage. In this version, you play as a girl! So this is the perfect game for the female Harvest Moon fan. As for the gameplay it is pretty much standard Harvest Moon fare. You grow crops, take care of animals, collect berries, and choose a mate. The game proceeds through a few chapters as your character grows. The only complaint I had with the game was that it seemed like I could never get enough done in a single day/night cycle and often my activities would get cut short or I'd have to deal with yet another emergency (usually a sick animal) before I could get much else done. Overall, though, this game is an excellent change of pace game from the usual video game shoot-em-ups.

Strengths: I can play from a female perspective! hurrah!
Weaknesses:Nothing really new, other than being able to play as a female.
Overall Evaluation: First off, this is essentially just A Wonderful Life, repackaged with a female lead - probably pretty obvious, but worth mentioningThis is, like all Harvest Moon games, a farm/life simulation. The best part of the game is the farm side of things, at least in my opinion. That's what made this game famous. You get to run your own farm, take care of animals like cows, chicken, and sheep... you get to plant and tend crops... and then sell the wares from your farming activities. You can fish and cook, too!I think the best part of this game is how immersive it can be. It sounds like a very simple concept, but it can be very intricate and complex if you want it to be!

Strengths: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful from a female perspective, cute graphics
Weaknesses:Not many new features added from previous release
Overall Evaluation: Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful is basically the same game as Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life...except now players can play the game from a female perspective. The original game really should have had an option of choosing to play as either a girl or guy. Like previous HM releases, the game is a farming simulator where you tend to crops, raise livestock, and even raise a family. Aside from a few glitch fixes and the new female perspective, there's no real reason to purchase this game if you have the previous edition. Unless you find this version cheap, I'd recommend picking up Harvest Moon: Magical Melody instead since it allows you to play as either a guy or girl from the get-go.

Strengths: New female perspective on familiar places/characters, plenty of chores to do and activities to participate in
Weaknesses:Little innovation since last game, doing farm chores gets old after a while
Overall Evaluation: If you've played 2004's Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, you won't find a whole lot to have changed in Forget-Me-Not Valley. The graphics, sound, chores, etc. remain mostly unchanged. What has changed is that you now play a young woman new to town, and you can woo and win a husband from among the local eligible gentlemen. While this may prove entertaining, the majority of the game is exactly as you remember it from A Wonderful Life. Most of your time will be spend farming the land, tending to your animals and trying to make enough money to keep the farm running. Series fans will love the "more of the same" element of this, but new players may become bored quickly. Another Wonderful Life has now joined Nintendo's Player's Choice value line, so you can buy it new for $20 or less. Series fans will want to pick this up right away, but new players will probably want to read some reviews first. Like the Sims series of games, the Harvest Moon series isn't for everyone.
