Duration of ownership: 10 Days

Strengths: Image Quality,manual controls,zoom

Weaknesses:burst mode restrictions

Overall Evaluation: This is my third Panasonic camera(fz7,fz18) I have been very happy with all of them and have had no problems whatsoever out of them! But this FZ35 really takes the cake lots of user friendly features, a very good camera there is really nothing bad I can say about it!

Duration of ownership: 10 Days

Strengths: This is such a dramatic improvement over the 6mp, 12x version that you can't compare them. I bought this because I have trips planned to South America and Africa and don't want to miss anything.

Weaknesses:Only drawback I see is that the lens hood doesn't reverse onto to lens when it's not being used.

Overall Evaluation: I ordered this camera from Beach Camera and couldn't have asked for a better price and better, faster service. Promised in 10 days, delivered in three! I've got to practice some more but so far it's all that I need to capture some pretty amazing shots of action, scenery and micro-shots. It's predecessor did great last year in Italy, Turkey and Greece so I expect even greater shots from this baby.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 is a powerful, semicompact megazoom camera with an awesome range of controls for both stills and video.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 It isn't pocketable, but the relatively compact Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 ($400 as of 11/12/09) is quite simply one of the best fixed-lens cameras out there for both stills and HD video. If you can deal with slightly grainy, non-1080p video footage (the FZ35's video resolution maxes out at 720p), it may be the ideal hybrid model to serve double-duty as a camera and camcorder.
