    Duration of ownership: 3 Weeks

Strengths: Price, variety, reliability, consistency (stack more than one of the same and they dont differ), 10-year US guarantee

Weaknesses:None as of yet. The pouch quality does not faze me, because I own a Tamrac camera bag which has its own pockets for filters anyway. The pouch itself is padded enough to prevent filter damage.

Overall Evaluation: Unlike the other reviewers, I did not get the filters in anything but mint condition. Specks of dust is easily removed with "canned air" or a microfibre cloth. I always use the UV filter on top of the Circular Polarizer (or other filters) given that is the cheapest filter you can get, and it's better to scratch/break/smudge that one than the more expensive ones. The warming filter is usually used in portrait photography. The circular polarizer cuts glare and haze and makes colors more vivid, especially blues...don't forget to rotate it until you get the desired filtered level.

Strengths: Excellent price for a decent filter combo; the polarizing filter has always treated me well.

Weaknesses:Second-rate printing and sometimes threading on the bezel; EVERY set of these I've bought had beendelivered full o' fingerprints on the filters.

Overall Evaluation: This is the fourth set of the Tiffin Photo Essentials Kit I've bought... I guess it says something that I keep coming back to them even though sometimes they're frustrating to deal with. Specifically, it always looks as if the packing is done by a child who has just been given the a handfull of sun-warmed jolly ranchers right before putting the filters in their case. I think I'm starting to *recognize* the fingerprints it's so bad. However, of the 12 filters (4 kits x 3 lenses) I've bought, I've only ever had an actually problem with one blemish that did not clean right off with a cottonball and some warm breath, and it was immediately exchanged for one that was flawless. Simply put, for the price you can't beat them. The UV filter might not do the best job at filtering UV, but it's a very cheap option to always keep on and protect the lens. The warming filter I can take or leave (generally doing digital photo work I don't need that type of filter), and the circular polarizing filter has produced results I'm happy with (although I've heard many a professional claim that there are much better circular polarizers out there -- but with an individual filter costing three times what this bundle does. For me (an advanced amateur) the Tiffin kit is a great combination of price/performance/protection, and so long as you don't mind cleaning your filters right new out of the box, it's a good kit at a reasonable cost.

Strengths: Price: The combination of 3 filters costs you 50 bucks, while one piece of polarizer will cost you about 40.

Weaknesses:The exteriors of the filters are poorly finished. Thera are dust collecting on the filters when they arrived. The case is also of poor quality.

Overall Evaluation: This kit will give an idea of how these filter work in photography. It's cheap price is the reason I bought it. Polarizer seems to be useful in scenic shooting. UV and 812 do not seem to be necessary.
