Duration of ownership: 7 Months
Strengths: Everything! Compared to the other off-the-shelf wireless routers, this product is the best I have used so far!
Weaknesses:Was a bit peeved about having to use FAT32 for my external hard drive, but I got over it due to the 610N's performance as a wireless router....
Overall Evaluation: Although it cost more than most wireless routers, the 610N has not lost a connection in 7 months. Try to get that performance with any of the numerous wireless products (NetGear, DLink, and cheaper Linksys models)I have used in the past.

Duration of ownership: 1 Months
Strengths: ease of set up, choice of either band to use, USB port for external HD or Media hub for data share.
Weaknesses:none so far.
Overall Evaluation: Contrary to others my set up went smooth. My lead computer uses XP pro, and its a old amd 939socket 3800 X2. Another desktop connected to the router is a Vista 32 bit. A wireless 64 bit Laptop with Vista is also connected to it. After you run the disk, and start the set up, what you do when your done is to disconnect both the power from the modem, and the router. Or reset the modem with the router unhooked. Then when the modem resets, attach the router, and it's good to go. The disk helps you attach the rest of the devices to the router. On the laptop it asks if you want to keep the connection, if you say no by unchecking the boxes, you will have to re-enter the password when you have connected to something via the browser, for another connection. So, on the laptop keep the check marks checked then it is on until you shut off, then you have too of course put in your connection password again. Right now I am happy with it, and I also have a external fat 32 drive. I think they use that for all computers can share that data. I updated my laptop on battery for 51 updates at once with just wireless, and it stayed connected with no drops. So far I am happy with the product, and would buy it again.

Strengths: Easy to setup
Weaknesses:NO range at all.
Overall Evaluation: HORRRABLE range. Lame tech support tries to explain HORRABLE performance by checking my config, it works when I'm on top of it! They look good but the reality is wireless routers need antennas, if they dont have them they dont work.

Strengths: Replacement seems to be a good product.
Weaknesses:DOA
Overall Evaluation: Was DOA and Linksys would only replace it through RMA with a refurbished unit. I had to return the first refurb because it was scratched and dirty. The second one was still not refurb quality. Avoid Linksys if you think you will every need warranty support.

Duration of ownership: 5 Weeks
Strengths: Does not drop connections. Fast. Good looking unit you can place in sight.
Weaknesses:Do not expect to connect at 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz simultaneously.
Overall Evaluation: I highly recommend the WRT610N. My previous LinkSys WRT350N dropped the connection at least two times per day. The 610N has yet to drop the connection. Speed is excellent, but I simultaneously installed a Motorola SURFboard SB6120 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and a LinkSys WEC600N Dual-Band Wireless-N Express Card, so I do not know which products produce the bulk of the increased speed. I had expected to connect at 5 GHz and 2.4 GHZ simultaneously, but the 610N does not do this. My old 350N was an unattractive rectangular box with two antennas sticking up that I hid behind cabinet doors. The 610N is a very good looking unit that I place unobtrusively on a shelf in my living room. Despite my love for Cisco products, I have found their wireless products less than stellar. This 610N may reconfirm my love for Cisco. Netgear is promising a Rangemax Dual Bank Wireless-N Gigabit Router - Premium Edition WNDR3700 that I would have considered, but its ETA is indefinite. I have literally thrown DLink products in the trash, as I would not even give them away to some unsuspecting novice. My LinkSys WRT610N and WEC600N and their Vista drivers work well with Windows 7 Build 7100.
