    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

    Strengths: Ease of set up and use. both digital and analog inputs. Perfect graphics & text vewing. Fast refresh.

    Weaknesses:AC adapter didn't make good pin contact. Plannar sent one next day air @ no charge. Said if that didn't work, would replace both monitor and adapter.

    Overall Evaluation: While looking for another 19" LCD Flat Panel, I came across this review. As I am viewing this on my own Planar PL190M, I have to strongly disagree with the negitive aspects of this review. I see great detail, and no visual downsides what so ever! I bought this monitor off u-bid.com at auction for $274. I can't recall if that included shipping, but it is a great monitor at a great price. I am looking for another LCD for my wife's computer, but haven't found a deal this good. I wonder if his monitor was damaged in shipment?

    Duration of ownership: 7 Days

    Strengths: Very smart looking, good contrast ratio, graphics looks great, has built in good speakers. One of the cheapest in 19inch size. Has both analog and DVI input. Setting up was easy.

    Weaknesses:Worst text display. Worse than a CRT display.

    Overall Evaluation: If you don't do lot of word processing or powerpoint presentation it should be o.k. Video and graphics is very good. But text looks worst. Worst than a CRT. I use a 15inch viewsonic VG150 old flat panel and a compaq laptop, both have much superior text display as compared to Planar. I would go for a Viewsonic or a Samsung. I bought it from Dell ($513 shipped). They also offered a free pick-up and return . That's the good thing about buying from DELL.
