As Nokia's very first 3G phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, the $500 E71 is an all-around improvement on its predecessor, the E61. It not only has a sleeker and more sophisticated curved design, but it packs a multitude of features ideal for both business and personal use.

Duration of ownership: 1 Months
Strengths: Sturdy build quality, size
Weaknesses:Poor email client
Overall Evaluation: While this is a good phone, based on all the reviews I have been disappointed. Its a great phone (voice quality, battery life, signal, etc), but email client is poor and video frequently studders. Does not index large sd chips well, so opening pics, audio files is slow. Keyboard is very good considering the size. GPS is very good, picks up signals very quickly. Menu's are OK, better than Windows mobile, but could be a lot better. I last used a Motorola Q9h and this is not really much of an improvement.

Strengths: Small, fast, easy to connect, clear screen, great OS, all the connectivity you could need, solid case, adequate camera, WiFi at the shake of a stick, a GREAT PHONE
Weaknesses:Haven't found them yet
Overall Evaluation: I have just upgraded to an Internet phone and there's lots on offer. A bit of research and a bit of picking up and putting down and BINGO - I've got a NOKIA E71 - it's fabulous. Instant e-mails into my Inbox, texts are a breeze, no more 4 push letters a real tiny keyboard. Connect it to your computer and fill out your contacts, etc. using the big keyboard. This is one fabulous phone - browsing the web, buying on Ebay, checking e-mails and the voice phone is very clear. The only thing left to say is - stop thinking about buying one and go get one today.

Duration of ownership: 4 Days
Strengths: Slim, lightweight, FAST, bright screen, great audio quality
Weaknesses:none
Overall Evaluation: This is the best phone I have used by far. I owned the iPhone, the Nokia E61i and almost all the smartphones you could think of. This one far surpasses every one of them. I want to start off with the speediness of the symbian OS. Everything loads instantaneously on this phone. I noticed NO delay compared to my E61i. The keyboard is very pleasant to type on. It is a good balance of plasticky and rubbery. The screen is very vibrant and bright. You can do so much with just a $15 unlimited data plan, such as send emails, IMs, and use VoIP. The built in GPS also comes in handy. All in all a great phone!
